Margaritaville Men's Dock Slip On Boat Shoe

This is my first pair of canvas Margaritaville shoes (although I have several different pairs of the leather Margaritaville boat shoes). I have always had a good fit and feel with this brand of shoe and once again, I am quite pleased with these. They fit as expected, they are a bit lighter than my leather versions and they look great! Love the palm leaf design!

This is the second pair of these shoes my husband has had. The first pair he “LOVED” bought in a brick and mortar store 2 years ago, and he wanted to get another pair (because the first pair was literally worn out). The second pair is almost identical, but there is a tag on the inside of the shoe that’s rather sharp. He thinks the sewing is not quite correct, so this pair hurts his feet if he does not wear socks. We will try cutting the sharp edge away.

This is my third pair of Margaritaville shoes. I love all three pairs that I've owned. This particular pair is tight with your normal size if you wear them with socks. Therefore, my recommendation is if you are going to wear this pair with socks that you get a half size larger; if you are going to wear them "sock-less" than get your regular size. I wear a 91/2 so I wear these shoes comfortably without socks. They are very comfortable and great to wear in casual settings. I wear them almost every day when it's warm and I want my feet to stay cool.

This is the 2nd pair of these shoes I purchased for my husband. He loves the fit and comfort. The first pair are not worn out but he took them on vacation to Kauai and are now stained with red dirt. They are his go to shoes. We bought the Khaki color which goes with anything. It's rare he wants to purchase something again but these shoes, were the exception. I was glad I could still find them.

I did not realize that these "Margaritaville Men's Dock Slip On Boat Shoes" were NOT the same design as the previous Margaritaville Men's Dock Slip On Boat Shoes that Amazon sold last year (2019). This year's version has essentially a flat sole and heel, and for me, that type of design is very hard on my feet. I sure wish Amazon would bring back the original Margaritaville Men's Dock Slip On Boat Shoe. Even though this new style seems reasonably constructed and of nice design, of course they went back to Amazon.

This is a good boat shoe, slip on is easy to fit on my big feet. Size 13 was surprisingly a tad largish, but these are loafer type slip on and I don't mind the relaxed fit. What I don't like is that unlike Sperry's the leather band running through the mouth of the shoe doesn't tighten up a bit, it's purely for decoration. However, a good white sole and the 'preppy' fashion look of these makes wearing shorts a bit dressier so good for a yacht cruise social or at a barbecue when you don't want to wear flip flops and board shorts.

A very smart casual shoe for wear with shorts or long pants, the neutral color works well with any colors! It fits comfortably and has a non-slip sole for safety on any surface. Elasticity over the arch makes them easy to put on or pull off yet is firm enough to hold the shoes in place during wear. Highly recommended!

The shoe has stitching around the inside lip of the top line/collar (along the vertical striped material you can see in the image) that rubs against the skin. I wore them out for a night in Jamaica and developed a blister that broke open and bled on my right heel. I like the shoe, but that stitching make it uncomfortable for me to wear, unless I put band-aids on my heels before putting them on. That's just to prevent blisters. Even then, the stitching along both sides of my ankle drives me crazy. I only wear them to events that I know I won't have to move around a lot.

Beautiful shoes, and exactly as pictured. Good quality and priced accordingly. Unfortunately they leave horrible blisters on my son's heals even though they fit and therefore my son cannot wear them.

I like the fit and that it is a comfy shoe.
