Dissatisfied.
Dissatisfied. I won't buy it again and I don't recommend it either. The shade in the Bona Gap tube is one step lighter than it is on the packaging + the instructions say that it can be shaded with a stain and sanded. A lie, the stain almost doesn't change the color of the Bona Gap and it can't be sanded. because even after drying, after 4 days, it has the consistency of hard chewing gum.

This stuff is amazing, none of the mess of silicone Highly Recommended
Used this to seal the back of worktop, so much easier to work with than silicon which leaves a film over everything. This wipes off with water when applying and looks great.

Dark oak?
The colour resembles nothing like dark oak.

Easy to use, make sure you use masking tape
I used this to fill gaps between a wooden floor and the skirting. I used the Wenge colour (very dark brown) rather than trying to match the colour of the wooden floor, as it mimics the colour of the gaps and looks more natural.I wanted to fill the gaps as we sometimes had slugs coming into the house through these gaps (despite the gaps being very small!). I would NOT use this for cosmetic purposes, as I think small gaps underneath the skirting boards where it meets the wooden floor looks nicer and more natural overall than filling in the gaps. That being said, if you do need to fill the gaps like I did, this stuff comes highly recommended. It is very easy to use. It is much closer to caulk than silicone, which means it’s easy to smooth over with a wet finger and wipe up excess without it making a horrible mess like silicone does. This was my main concern with this stuff, as using silicone on wooden floors would be a nightmare! As for the slugs, I’ve seen no evidence of them coming in since putting this down two months ago, so it seems to work.I can’t comment much on this being used to insulate or stop draughts. If I wanted to achieve this, I’d insulate under the floor properly instead. A bead of gap filler isn’t going to magically make your house feel warmer and your heating bills reduce!

Excellent floorboards filler
I’ve just bought my second tube of this to use on my very old and original floorboards, which in the past few years have slowly lost a lot of the filler used when we had them stripped and stained 10 years ago.I must say I think this stuff is great for the job and is easy to apply, user friendly and because it “rubberises” when dry is extremely flexible and doesn’t crack.I first used it in the hall about 10 months ago on a number of small gaps ranging from 1mm to 3-4nm and it handled all the different widths easily and every one (14) is still the same now as it was then. Some are approximately 30mm in length and some are +100mm and all are successful. I use masking tape on the edge of each board where the gap is and pipe the filler in, then using my finger just run it along to ensure the gap is fully filled, which may require a bit more filler, and importantly isn’t protruding above the boards.I’ve just completed over 30 small gaps in the living room using the same method and allowed to dry for 24 hours and peeled the tape off for perfect results. I used Wenge colour, which is a dark brown and compliments the pine boards that I have.

Perfect colour for our floor… taking quite a while to apply but it seems worth it…
