Great for simple electronics projects...
This isn't the first time I've gotten one of this kind of drill trigger for running a motor variable speed. It's also not the first one I've burned up. I'm using them in a way they are not intended. Now I've added current limiting upstream it works perfectly.

For Craftsman BOLT-ON cordless drill
I had to modify this by filing to fit, but eventually it went in - and is still working after a few months.OEM part is hard to find and costs a lot more.
