I was so happy to see pure taro root powder because in the past, I’ve only seen the syrup kind. I used this in my homemade ice cream machine and I’m hooked!!! Of course, since it’s powder, the liquid I added it to needed to be blended together before going into my ice cream machine. It was a beautiful purple and tasted delicious. I loved it so much, I sent another set of ingredients to my sister so she could make it for my nephew and nieces at home!!!

Very nice, mild sweet potato flavor; beautiful rich color. But if you add it to your blender as the first ingredient when making a smoothie, it gets stuck in all the little nooks & on the blades. And once wetted by other ingredients it gets stuck & verrry difficult to remove. Learn from my experience and add this powder *on top* of other ingredients. Otherwise it's a very tasty, healthy (and pretty!) addition to a smoothie.

The powder adds a beautiful, natural color and mild sweetness to smoothies, baked goods, and even lattes. I love that it's gluten-free, non-GMO, and made from real ingredients- a great clean option for natural food coloring. The color payoff is gorgeous, especially in yogurt and frosting, and the 5 oz pack goes a long way.

My kid wanted a purple birthday cake. I didn't want to use additive food dyes to make the frosting. I used this alternative and it turned out really really well! It is pretty nutritious and much safer to eat than food dyes you would get at the store.

I bought originally as an ube powder extract, but it’s just powdered food coloring with a hint of the flavor. I can hardly taste the ube and it’s sadly grainy even if I shake and froth it. Wouldn’t buy again

We got this product to make ice cream.It gave our ice cream rich flavor and color.Recommend to our friends too!Still better to add a Ube flavor additional for a scent if you are going to use this for ice cream.

I have never used ube before and wanted to try it in crinkle cookies. I only used the powder (no ube jam or extract) and a small amount of natural violet food coloring. The recipe was from youtube. They turned out pretty good and my family enjoyed them. I also made ube chia overnight oatmeal breakfast parfait with yogurt and blueberries. The recipe for that is on the Suncore website. The shipping was quick. I recommend their products. Great company.

I did not find this to have a distinct flavor--which may be a positive in some cases--but the color is amazing! I think this will last a while as well since it didn't take much to achieve a vibrant color. We used it in a simple syrup to add purple to homemade shave ice. I can also see this being useful in many future baking projects.
