This seems to be a high quality, well-made workout accessory. I am by no means an expert but if you don't have a smith machine then this to me should be a "pantry staple" of equipment if you're going to be doing anything with a barbell. The cushion is very dense and it is easily adjustable for different sized bars, but mine is 1".The package included a card with a link to download 2 free workout plans so this is also a great addition if you are a beginner or just want a different workout. I even received an email from the company wanting to make sure I received the product and was happy with it. It seems this company takes pride in its product(s) and wants to stand by its customers. Can't believe I waited so long to buy one of these! Thank you!

I purchased this product on looks alone, seemed better than others in the category.When item arrived, I was amazed and impressed with the quality, overall thickness offering added comfort, non slip adjustable straps that provide nice custom fit for any bar thickness and most important was the concave pad. The design of the pad provides great placement and even distribution across the neck and shoulders without all the extra added bulk.This product surpassed all my expectations.I would highly recommend this for anyone.

Perfect pad for hip thrusts. Lots of thick cushion and fits my standard bar great. The Velcro straps that come with it are perfect to keep the pad from moving around too much. Overall, extremely satisfied with this purchase.

At first I didn't want to use these Viva Barbell Pads because they are so pretty. So I just used the Viva straps on the pads provided in the gym. But now I'm using the Viva Barbell Pads. They are well padded, more comfortable than the (actually good quality pads in my gym), and very well served by the straps to hold them on the bar. I wanted my own pads because the gym pads are always falling off or twisting around. With the safety straps on the Viva's - no more falling off or twisting. In addition, as noted above they are very comfortable. I am extremely pleased with this purchase, and highly recommend them.

This item is very useful.The product description recommends you use it for squats (and related exercises), but I use it for a few other lifts as well.For example, I like to put the pad on the bar when I am bench pressing, just in case I am unable to lift my final rep, and have to set the bar on my chest (which has happened in the past).I also like to do shrugs with a bar, which causes the bar to rub against my body as I lift it.It was only a little uncomfortable, but now I use the pad which negates the little discomfort that there was.In the end, the product is made well, and you can find quite a few uses for it if you just get a little creative.

I got the pad after my significant other complained that I was hurting my back with the scrapes from the barbell while squatting.Looked here on Amazon and took a chance on this pad. It was a good choice. The pad is sturdy and has a shape that allows for better comfort of the neck. The velcro straps work like a charm. I've tried other pads with no straps and really dread the pad rolling on the barbell while the squat movement occurs or worse even, it coming off. The straps here prevent both things from happening.I am satisfied with this pad, it gets the job done right.

the pad is awesome, correct amount of cushion and the curve helps keep the weight of your neck.When using velcro straps, i felt they were a hassle. They are not attached to pad and when taking pad off and putting back on the rod, you have to take the whole strap off, which often falls down and you have to pick it up. I consider it wasted time at peak of your concentration.Very good barbell pad indeed.

My wife and I just recently got back into weight training. After a few sets of squats we both agreed a bar pad would be in our best interest. After a quick search on Amazon I found the Fit Viva Barbell Pad. Now I have to admit, the advertisement photos of the pad being used almost completely sold me on it without even looking at the pad itself... :-) Once I finally started looking at the actual pad and not the advertisement I did notice a few features that stood out from the pads I used years ago. I really liked the idea of the straps securing the pad to the bar as well as the notch cutout for ones neck. The material of the pad also looked pretty soft yet firm.After going back and viewing the advertisement photos once again I figured I would give it a try. I received the pad in two days and was immediately impressed with its quality. After installing the pad my wife and I gave it a few test squats. I have to say that it surpasses the pads I have used in the past! This is exactly what we were needing. Now to order another for myself since my wife took it for her bar.Thanks Fit Viva for a great product!
