Philippa Fisher and the Fairy Godsister

My god daughter and I just concluded the entire Emily Windsnap series (books 1-9) and I was delighted that Liz Kessler has another series. This is very different from Emily Windsnap as EW is only written from her point if view and in Philippa Fisher, we get to encounter two different barrators with two different personalities. The language in Philippa Fisher is slightly more advanced (which I like) and the themes are a little more mature (distant parents, etc) I really am enjoying this series.

This is a really good heartwarming book. It is predictable in some areas but that doesn't mean it's bad and the ending gets me crying every single time.

I loved the book. It was amazing! I can't wait to read the rest of the series. I can't wait to see what fairy tale adventure awaits me next!I have read the Emily Windsnap Series as well. My 12 year old daughter and I really enjoyed this book. We love stories about fairies and other mythical creatures, and we really enjoyed Kessler's Emily Windsnap books. Both Phillipa the main character and Daisy the fairy learn important life lessons. Although this book is similar to the Emily Windsnap stories, it has its own unique character and world. With most of the plot revolving around girls and girl's issues, though, my daughter feels that it's a book that boys wouldn't enjoy as much as she did.

Daisy isn't your normal fairy tale fairy godmother. appearing as young as her assignment she is more of a fairy god sister. With the pick flower life cycle to be on earth she breaks the most important fairy rule about not revealing who you really are to her client who wishes get out of hand at first until she realizes what she really want to wish for.

We got this book for our twelve year-old daughter who had devoured the mermaid books by this author. I read it first, and could not put it down. It is modern and funny and definitely something that young girls can relate to. Our daughter enjoyed it just as much! I definitely would recommend this for 9 - 14 year olds (plus their parents).

My 9 year old daughter loves Liz Kessler books, she cannot stop reading them and really enjoys every minute with them.She loves Philippa and wishes there were more books in this series.... Beautiful books!!!

My daughter has brought home the other two books in this series for us to read. Unfortunately her school library doesn't have this one. So I have bought all three for her for Christmas. We loved the other two so I am sure this one is just as good!

Knew it was second hand so went for one which said Very Good Condition to be on the safe side. It is useable and complete and but was certainly not even in good, let alone VERY good condition, so that was a little disappointing.Daughter loves the story and the author though.

A while ago, I rented this book from my local library, and a few weeks ago, I found myself wanting to read it again- so I bought it on Kindle! It is a fabulous book, it is so magical. I love how Daisy and Phillipa become such good friends! In the end, you kind of realise the moral- be careful what you wish for. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Both me, my mum and my sister found it entrancing and would all be willing to recommend it to a friend. The way that the book is written makes it all the more fabulous and I know for a fact that my friends enjoyed it too.All in all, this book is well worth buying and reading.

Every chapter I read I found some thing new. There was so much tension I couldn`t wait to pick it up again! The characters had so much detail it was as if I knew them. The magic in the book almost turned the page for me. My favourite character is Daisy because she is full of suprises.
