I have read through the Bible several times. In this study of the Prophets I have learned so much more about God and Jesus through this study which has me digging deeper to answer the questions. The teaching chapters have been written with much thought.

Completed this Bible study with friends. Nancy really provides important insights that connect the new and old testaments. I loved the format with discussion questions, study questions, a teaching chapter, and a looking forward future application piece. Highly recommend!

The Word of The Lord by Nancy Guthrie is a phenomenal study about finding Jesus in the Old Testament prophets and how it all pointed to the ultimate king and savior, Jesus Christ. What God was speaking in the Old Testament, He is talking to us today, it is so totally relevant to our lives and the world today, it is amazing how it all comes together to point to Christ always and forever. Nancy has done a terrific job with this entire series about the Old Testament, I never enjoyed studying these books of The Word before but God has used these studies to open my eyes and heart. Love this Bible Study! Seeing Jesus in the old testament with Nancy Guthrie has been a wonderful journey. Great discussions with my friends and increasing our understanding of the Bible.

Just finished this study and there were a lot of nuggets of gold in the author's insights. Look at it as an overview rather than an in depth study, but gleaned a lot. Liked the layout, looking up answers from scripture, insight from author, discussion questions at the end. The prophets were amazing men who didn't shirk from God's directives!!!!

Enlarges my knowledge of the Scriptures. Highly recommend this book. clearly written easy to read..this is a study and the questions and guides are very revealing. Giving a deeper meaning to the text.
