John Muir: The Eight Wilderness Discovery Books

This is a classic book, a wonderful, beautiful description of Muir’s boyhood homes and his walks in the woods and mountains. A seminal contribution.

I would love to read this book, unfortunately the text is too small for me.

Excellent read (and listen). If we all thought of and valued everything living on earth as did John Muir, we wouldn’t have or be arguing about accelerated, man caused global warming.

John Muir, founder of the Sierra Club, wrote a number of books that capture the romance and purity of the Sierra Nevada.For me, reading his books was like going to church.

All I can say is that John Muir is an amazing individual and a pillar in our country's history. No one on this planet cold give you a more vivid glorious picture of the nature that we live amongst. John's vivd descriptions make you feel as if you were right there next to him, seeing nature just as he saw it. This book is a fun read, and also extremely educational. I'd recommend it to everyone!!

Written by one of my newly found heroes, John Muir, this book gives you so much insight to exploring the outdoors & becoming a better self. Take the time to enjoy this knowledge that feels like it’s being given to you by an old friend.

Great quality book that is perfect to add to our top shelf of the books. It is beautiful - but it is heavy - jus to warn those of you who don't understand how big 8 books of John Muir's is. My husband is a minimalist and LOVES this book.

I was so excited to be able to get a compendium of all of John Muir's books in one volume. The book is a tad heavy but no complaints. Just started reading it and am enjoying it immensely!
