Excellent Yeast Starter
Easy to follow instructions, and lovely bread to boot.It takes a bit more practice that dried yeast, but worth the effort.

Didn’t work
Despite following very concise instructions provided, the starter didn’t rise and after 2 weeks of feeding daily, I gave up.Great concept but starter provided was not as great.

Threw away two loaves. Hard and dense; over-kneaded, under-kneaded?

Definitely worth a try, you will not be disappointed
Easy peasy lemon squeezy! Arrived in good time, instructions for activation all available online, followed their step by step / day by day process and hey presto, sourdough starter! My only comment would be that maybe the starter culture and an appropriately sized jar could be sold together as a package but that's not a huge inconvenience. Would also like to add that my 1st sourdough loaf, while more time consuming than usual came out perfectly risen and delicious!

The best thing I bought since ages, the best spent money.
Be carefully with that product, it made me addicted to delicious home made bread, no able to eat shop bought bread anymore. I bake bread weekly, neighbours obviously love that smell too. Baking is easier than I thought and much less laborious. And I feel much better, no acid in tummy like after shop bread. I love it!

Mine hasn’t worked at all.
I’ve ordered fresh starters from this brand in the past which were fine. This doesn’t work. As the only way to return is to send something back (not sure what to send as it’s been used and is defective in my glass jar) I reached out to them on social media. Nobody has rectified the situation at all. I wouldn’t recommend this freeze dried version, the fresh will be much better.
