Madam Secretary: The Final Season

Madam Secretary is a refreshing show. It portrays a true Democracy with its problems, pitfalls and true wins for the populace who live within it. It abides by the rules the Constitution has established for us, a Constitution that has served us well for hundreds of years, but that now, all of a sudden, appears easily shaken by one person and his supporters who blindly follow him into a bottomless pit that they do not recognize.We are so reminded of the frailty of any society. We look at history and see the failures that destroyed many of the systems of Government that came before us, but we believe that we, today, can withstand anything.We can not.The end of freedom, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all, comes quickly and will be of our own making.Madam Secretary tries to remind us of this.

This season will have 10 episodes and will begin airing on Oct. 6. Those who are feeling cheated because Amazon only has the trailer available now have no fear--the full season is coming. Also, this will be the final season of the series, and I can't wait to see what happens.

These reviews add to the growing pile of evidence making me believe that the average person should not be allowed to vote....Great show. Even as someone who leans more to the conservative side of the spectrum and do not always agree with the premise of the episode, still and entertaining show. Good cast and good acting. Happy that I paid ahead for the whole season since I no long have cable, but now it comes up in my streaming feed when a new episode is available. Love it.

In these present days of strife and bitter political division, this series refreshed my belief in the best we can be in an imperfect world. Always, always, its touchstones were intelligence, good humor, character, and a hard-won belief in fairness, justice, and truth. I thank the wonderful cast and writers for six enthralling and uplifting years.

This is a great series whose rating are influenced by a stupid system which allows ratings based solely on delivery by Amazon, not the content or the characters. Before you buy, read the fine print and stop showing that you do not understand what a pre sale is.

Watch it several times everyday and night. Have learned so very much about how our government operates. I never tire of watching it. It is the very best program I have ever seen in my 76 years. I have it on my DVR. I paid to get it on Amazon Prime Video. I watch seasons 1-5 on Netflix.

I have no idea what happened to the high quaility of writing and good character development. And, whose idea was it to have the first female president wear a stupid thing around her neck that makes her waddle more present and like she’s is trying to look like a man. Why? What a huge disappointment this season has been so far and I suspect it will sink any chance of a season 7.

Really "Madam President" now. This strong final season shows how Elizabeth McCord became so. Coming over strongly is the sheer scale of the pressures that each new day seems to bring. Skilfully McCord deals with mounting crises - not least the threat of nuclear war.A major problem for her throughout are the unscrupulous tactics of political enemies at home. They declare the election rigged and are determined McCord be impeached. This powerful ongoing storyline becomes very gripping indeed.Ten episodes. Thought provoking scripts. Tea Leoni and Tim Daly head a strong cast. Among many issues explored? Fake news made easy because outlets refuse to face up to their responsibilities. Post Traumatic Syndrome rife among those who fought for their country. Women deserving pay equal to male counterparts.So many valid points made, this a show very much of our times!In so many ways, fans may regard this sixth season a perfect end to the series which has provided so much insight and given genuine pleasure.

I had to wait till all the seasons are final before buying. I like to watch back to back. I have no patience waiting year after year. I do enjoy this box set. I enjoy anything Tea Leoni.

I have loved every episode of this series. The plots, directing and acting is outstanding. I'm just sorry it's come to an end.

I loved this show and waited with great anticipation for the finale season. Sadly it was not as good as I had hoped. Few episodes (only 10) and whilst emotional and gripping at times... lacked the original punch.

Excellent, interesting and intelligent show. Pity it had to end. Worth watching.
