Q: Is this product cheap and does it break easily?

I was skeptical at first but I really enjoy mine. I only use it about once a week so bear that in mind.

Ya it gets hot quickly. It can be hard to use but the glove helps

Q: Does anyone who have tried this know how long the curls hold/last throughout the day?

It all depends on hair and what products you use. For me, I have fine hair but a lot of it so my hair holds well. When I got it, I didn't use conditioner in my hair, so my hair was a little more rough. I used the third largest curler and had no product in my hair, I was just playing around and the curls held till I went to bed. So, like from around 2 to till whenever I went to be, so around 11.
