This is very smart air conditioner. I am unable to comment on its performance as it has not been hot enough since I bought it. I will comment again if I can. Delivery by Amazon was very prompt, as ever.A small criticism would be the lack of the fixing screws for the base. Also the email address in the instruction leaflet was incorrect. I decided then to do my own `construction` using "SUGRU" in dark grey. SUGRU is a wonderful hack for many items, If Amazon does not stock it, look online for information and every colour. I used little blobs of Sugru into each of the screw holes, clamped the 2 base pieces to the tower and left for 2 days. It rotates okay and will be very useful in the next heatwave!

It’s a noisy fan, I know fans make noise but I can hear when it’s on at night in the next room with the door closed!!! I haven’t been able to hear previous ones.

Looks good, light enough to carry from room to room by the handle. Very efficient and easy to use.Great value for money.

I don't think the breeze generated from this product is enough to cool a room in today's English summer weather. The only upside for this product is the low amount of noise. The features are what you'd expect from a tower fan but I believe a standard design for a fan would work better us under this much heat.

Black and Decker are a good brand, so I expected good things from this "30 Inch Tower Fan with 2-Hour Timer". There IS a 2-hour timer, so that's one good thing. However, it's on a tiny dial, which is almost impossible to get a hold of, and even harder to turn. I had to push the fan against something, hold it steady, and then use my fingertips to try to turn the dial. The dial to change the settings (1/2/3 without oscillation or 1/2/3 WITH oscillation) is HUGE and easy to turn; the timer/on/off dial is very difficult to use, and I suspect that those with arthritis or who have difficult gripping small objects will have problems with it.The fan itself seems sturdy enough, and is easy enough to put together, although the screws which keep the base steady on the fan tower are very stiff to get in, and almost impossible to get out if you need to.Then there's the problem with the power of the fan, or lack thereof. I have passed wind with a greater power than this fan gives out. At its highest setting, I can only JUST feel it when I'm sitting four feet away from it. It's nowhere near strong enough to cool air down; it barely blows warm air about.It also produces a low-frequency buzzing noise, which we could hear all over the house when I had it on, with the exception of the farthest room from my own. It was sitting on a carpeted floor, weight down with books to see if it helped.Spoiler alert: it didn't help.Could not recommend this product at all, to be honest. Too many faults; the only positive was the price was fairly cheap.

I use this product in my bedroom when temperatures are high, wouldn’t be without it

Reading the reviews on this fan, i expected it to be alot quieter than it is. Lovely cool breeze though which is what i wanted, ideal for hot stuffy nights and hot flushes. People said in their reviews i comes with a remote... mine didnt
