TavenersJelly Babies - 5.82oz 165g

These are excellent in flavor! They are just like the ones made famous by Doctor Who. Much better flavor than typical gummy bears. They taste more like actual fruit and are not overly sweet. They also don't stick to each other nor to your fingers like some gummy bears do.I didn't mark them high for being 'giftable' because the package they come in isn't really very pretty. It gets the job done, but it's not exactly collectible.I am very surprised that some brand hasn't partnered with the BBC to make official Doctor Who Jelly Babies. Could have inexpensive packets like this as well as Tardis shaped boxes full of them. Seems like a no brainer.

I don’t think that they were the jelly babies that I had before so they were good, but not that fantastic flavor that I was remembering

Writing this as someone who had never tried Taveners Jelly Babies before. These would be perfect for people who do not really like sweets, or who prefer candies that are not overly sugary.The candy is difficult to describe. They have a thick wax coating but are very soft. The jelly inside has a subtle flavor. The jelly is firm but not hard or chewy. It is not liquid either.Each color has a different flavor. There is no sugar coating. There is a sort of powdery coating. I am not sure what that is, but don't worry. I've eaten some and am still around to write this review. So that powder is something edible.I'm used to jelly candies which have a grainy sugar gel or coating or both. These are more like having a teaspoon of not overly sugary jam.The seller I used put tracking on the package which is very appreciated. It's nice to know when things are set to arrive. Candy arrived in good shape.The candy kind of smelled like a foot when the package was first opened (the candy package, not the mail package) but I think that is just the gel itself. It dissipated.The candy is good but I can't imagine craving them or eating handfuls. Maybe that's better.

My students were researching The Beatles and found out about this candy. It was fun allowing my students to see firsthand what it was all about! Delicious and authentic!

The ingredients posted were not the same as the label on the bag. Contains wheat. Nowhere on the posting does it say it contains wheat ingredients!

These are wondrously delicious! I've ordered them so many times I've lost count. My favorite candy ever! Wish they were sold in the USA.

The Doctor lied. These things aren't good. Nothing wrong with the product. Just not much taste and they have a weird texture. However, others may love them.
