I just felt the Olympus hood for this fantastic lens, though a clever design
I bought this as a go anywhere alternative to the Olympus hood for the 40-150 F2.8 lens and it fits perfectly .I just felt the Olympus hood for this fantastic lens, though a clever design, was a bit fragile for out of studio use. This fits perfectly, and is inexpensive enough not to worry about it

Not a useful replacement for Olympus LH-76
This lens hood was touted as a good replacement for the Olympus LH-76 lens hood which falls apart easily. After trying for 6 months to get used to this thing I'm throwing it in the garbage... the JJC LH-78II is NOT a suitable replacement for the Olympus LH-76 to go on the M.Zuiko 40-150mm lens. It wasn't designed to be so this isn't necessarily a strike agains the product in general, but is a no-go for the Oly 40-150mm.

Purchased for Oly 40 - 150 Pro. Works.
The retractable hood on the Olympus 40 - 150 f/2.8 Pro is great, but somewhat fragile. When it explodes, freeing multiple tiny ball bearings and springs, you can try to replace it with a comparable hood from Oly, you can do without, or you can do what i did - buy this Canon hood. It fits, a bit loosely, and works well as a hood. It can be reversed for storage, but it is not as convenient as the original Oly. However, at 1/4 the price, this is a good purchase.
