These are fine bins. Nothing really wrong with them, but they're not going to change your life.My biggest problem with them is that they taper quite a bit, which makes packing them into the storage rack a bit wasteful.

I bought these to go three abreast on a 48"-wide Original Black and Yellow brand shelf system. And planned to buy many more to go on the two shelf systems I bought. They are very sturdy and very well-made, as advertised. And the lids measure only 1/16" wider than the 16" advertised. But because the shelf system itself only measures 42" between the posts, three won't fit on a shelf. Yes it is a 48" shelf, but these bins are long enough that they won't go three abreast between the corner posts. The seller was very accommodating and agreed to let me return these. I plan to buy more Original Black & Yellow bins when I figure out what size to get. I gave it five stars because the issue I had was with the shelf system not these bins.

These are nice large sturdy containers that stack well. My only gripe is when they are empty they they take the same space as when they are full. We have other storage containers that fold flat when empty so they space is about 1/5 of when they are set-up. Granted these bottoms nest but still 3 of these, empty take more space then the fold down style. If you have the room that is a moot point I grant you. These are realistically some of the best ones available and come with a good price. Just giving the entire picture.

Practically perfect. I’v been looking for the plastic equivalent of a bankers box since moving 11 years ago. Most I’ve found are too pricey, too likely to break, had a flip top, or not the right height for our built in shelves. When I found one at a local retailer, they were sold out. A couple years later they showed it online and I ordered, but they canceled the order, unavailable!This one is priced right,sturdy, and has the snap lid I like. The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is that the sides aren’t straight, making the inside bottom significantly smaller than a bankers box.
