Goodnight England
It was a charming little book for an English friend living away from home to read to their newborn son x very poignant to read, gives you a little insight into places featured around England. Great little stories x reminds me of home.

Not quite as expected
This is now listed as a cheaper second hand item but when I ordered it a couple of days ago I paid a much higher price for what I thought would be a new item. Instead I seemed to have received a second hand item which is a bit worn at the edges for the higher price point. Also it features a few references to the late Queen as if she is still alive and well. I think as King Charles is now on the throne that this should be noted for purchasers. This is a gift so it has been disappointing to receive a worn copy and would have been good to know it’s a bit out of date royal wise. Spoiler alert: It also states ‘Sleep tight, children of England’ at the end which is annoying as this gift is for the child of friends from abroad who is therefore not a child of England. I guess she will be an honorary one now! Also I don’t feel the print quality is that good. Positive wise, I do like that it features some places around England aside from London which is good. Especially Lands End and Brighton Pier. I like the cardboard type pages which won’t be ripped apart by younger children too easily. Whilst the book could represent a slightly more diverse range of people in our country overall, it does feature people of colour, people of different ages and isn’t marketed strongly towards a specific gender which makes it easier to gift (if you don’t mind gifting something a bit worn!) I would appreciate a couple of quid back from the seller to reflect the second hand quality of the item.Update: I have not heard back from the seller.

Not the best quality….
Bought this book as a welcome gift for an overseas employee (with a baby) seconded to the UK. Although the book is lovely, it was a bit battered and scuffed. I’m a bit embarrassed to give it to them.

Lovely book
I bought this book to read to my Granddaughter so she could learn about places I’ve been and where her Great Grandmother is from. It has nice pictures with bigger print easier to read. Really like it.
