Do not waste your money
P.O.S. it broke after 2 weeks of using it. Never put more than 10-12 pounds on it and the cheap aluminum just snapped under the bouncing and about 10-12 lbs.

Broke in 15 days worth of riding.
30 hours of road time using this rack and only ever carrying a 10lb. load. Snapped off clean on where it was welded together. Luckily my wife was just taking it off the stand and not biking down the road at night.Don't buy. Avoid for your own safety.

Easy install, and worked better than expected.
So far so good with these light duty racks. We puchased some nylon touring bags that were recommended at the bottom of the item listing and they worked just fine. Just take note that these are light duty with only about a 10lb capacity. If you're planning on carrying anything heavier, dole out some more cash and get the appropriate rack.

Great bike rack.
I have tried several types of bike racks for my son's bike. This is the only brand that actually works. The rest have been too wobbly. I can hook a bike basket on the back of the rack and it works great. The only downside to this product is the bike rack can slide off the back if the screws come loose so I add a zip tie and hook the rack to the bike seat just in case.

Customer Service
The bike rack broke less than 2 months after purchase. The company sent a replacement right away as soon as I contacted them. I have upped my review to 4 stars for customer service. Since the seller has been so responsive, it's possible that the product I received was defective, and most are higher quality.

Perfect for light trunk loading
This rack mounted nicely on the seat post. It is lightweight yet sturdy feeling. I chose it because I wanted something to carry a light bag, which attaches easily. The sliding adjustment works well and extending it was necessary to fit properly behind the seat. As many note the seat post mounting arrangement is not a design that is well-suited to heavy loading or rugged riding. If you like to haul a heavy load in the trunk you should opt for a rack that has mounts on both sides. One thing I notice is that the mounting bolts tend to loosen up very gradually, probably because I did not use the shims, so I tighten them with my multitool once in a while. If you stay within the design parameters of a seat post mounting type rack, you should be happy with the durability of this product.

and seems very sturdy; however I may never fully utilize the stated ...
I just finished mounting this carrier on my bicycle, which is a Next Avalon Comfort Series dual- suspension bike.I chose this particular carrier because it provides a near- infinite adjustability, and can be mounted to a variety ofdifferent bikes. I was able to mount this with minor alteration to the arms that attach to the seat stays and the useof P-clamps purchased at a local hardware store. I wish I new how to upload pictures of the completed installation,to illistrated how I accomlished this. The carrier looks "at home" on the bke, and seems very sturdy; however Imay never fully utilize the stated 55 pound carrying capacity. I may update this review once I have used this tosee how it performs.

Does what it says. No, you can't use it as a second passenger seat. Don't even try.
This is a great, slim very elegant rear rack for holding light items only. Don't overload it. I only gave it four stars fo ease of install not because it is hard to install, but because it is not the easiest thing to mount a rear reflector or brake light to due to its rounded end shape. Something they should consider when redeigning this product for future improvements would be making the back edge have a flat section or a through-hole mount for popular common brake lights and reflectors.
