An excellent solution for people who don't want to learn how to use a whetstone.
I was considering using a whetstone to sharpen my knives, but the idea of learning the technique put me off. The Precision Adjust was a great alternative for me. It's easy to set up and use, and the angle is consistent once set.To get a good sharpening, you need to be patient and methodical for a good 10-15 minutes, as you need to use three grits on each side of the blade. However, the resulting edge is worth the time and effort. The edge is sharp and passes the paper test, which my old manual sharpener did not.Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product. If you're looking for a reliable and easy-to-use knife sharpener, the Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener is definitely worth considering.

That it does the job and creates a razors edge consistently
Firstly I sharpen by hand on stones and I get great results I bought the ken onion sharpener and love this machine for its apple seed edge which I believe is the most durable edge I bought this machine as I bought a spyderco manix 2 and wanted the flat edge kept but this knife came smooth and cut cardboard like a dream but the angle I didn't like I wanted a lesser angle this machine does this but the jump in diamond plates is too quick it gets a sharp edge but I had to strop this to get a razor edge is it great no is it good yes but the stones need to be more grits to get the best from this machine do I recommend this yes but but a ceramic shone and a strop and compound to finish the edge and my tip is once you have your edge raise the angle 2 or 3 degrees and fine tune the already sharp edge to get the best possible edge then strop to finish this should give you a strong edge that should last longer than just a single bevel hope this helps new buyers also light pressure through the progression of each stone now the bad sides placing the knife in the clamp use tape to get a good grip on your knife as it will slip around also when redoing the knife after previously using if the blades not in the very same position it will have a different edge ground which is annoying also the magnetic clamp on paper sounds great in use I've found it comes away too easily and if you use varying pressure the clamp dips and this causes a different inconsistent grind that you started with and the grind stones are too short and not wide enough to cut from heel to tip in one movement doe this thing work yes it does but concentration must be paid attention to price is a little high for these reasons but if you sharpen alot you want something more robust and consistent with less play maybe the newer model has addressed these issues if found is it worth buying yes it is but maybe buying the newer model would suit sharpeners who sharpen alot.

Don’t think about it just buy it you won’t regret it
Having a bit of OCD about sharp kitchen knives I have over the years bought the cheapest sharpener that’s like under £5 to the supposedly best the Ken onion belt sharpener costing around £200 which is still in a box after moving.i was talking my kitchen knives to a guy who sharpens them but it’s costing over £20 a time and they soon go blunt.I decided to buy this sharpener it’s doing an excellent job and now have invested in a sharpening stop my knives are super sharp like I was actually drive shaving the hair on my arm.Making cuttting meat and vegetables a joy

Finally straight forward way
I've been manually sharpening knifes before, and yes, they got shart, but it took a lot of time, and there was no consistency. Now this is very simple, repeatable, fairly fast, and I like it a lot.

Finally, a sharpener that really works
I’ve tried all sorts of devices over the years but never found anything to give a really good edge to my kitchen knives. This device really works well and ensures the correct bringing angle that a simple stone can’t. It took a lot of passes to get some really bad knives sharp but I now they are good it should be easy to keep them that way. No good for narrow blades like penknives as once clamped in the device, the clamp fouls on the sharpening device.

Worth the money, but limited to certain sizes
This is a fantastic sharpner, easy to setup and easy to learn how to use.I will point a few issues that I have come across.lowest angle on device is 15 degrees, some of my knives need a smaller angle and the device does go smaller but it is not marked. I think 12-13 degrees is the lowest (used my iphone to check).Knives that are long are not very stable and bounce when sharpening, so you will have to do it in two parts and be deligent with your counting. Six inch blades are probably max length before the wobble starts. That said even with the include grits 320,600 and fine (1000+ ish) you can get a good finish on most knives. For the price you can't beat it. 4*
