This is a great book to advance your designing skills.
This is a great book to advance your designing skills. Many templates have been provided to help us to choose a great design pattern. All the codes are provided for java. The codes are provided in a different colour so that it is not confusing with the theory. The book follows the factory pattern, the composite pattern and the observer pattern. All the instructions are covered in points and steps and every topic is covered in concise manner. There are diagrams provided which helps in a better understanding. I found all the tips and all the online references very useful. This is a highly recommended book.

The wonderful world of JavaScript
Coding in JavaScript is a relatively easy way to create programs, both simple and complex, for use in everyday personal and business operations. I am a programmer myself, though I don't do much Java programming. However, the book provides some insight into how you can create data objects using different design patterns and how to implement them. There are some simple examples that you can try to test out the patterns. From there, you should be able to code a few of your scripts.Programming is fun and when you really know what you are doing it can be quite an explosive feeling. Read the book as it is very easy to understand and you can start coding in JavaScript as you read each example code.

Skip this book.
It does not do a very good job of explaining the concepts of the different patterns. It's a thin book with large type and lots of white space.

C# content with Java cover
As others wrote, the book is written for C# - starting from pre-face, introduction, table of contents to actual examples.Only the cover says "Java"The "Look inside" preview seems to have Java content - different than what the paperback book shows - which makes me think somebody messed-up at printing / binding. The book still has applicable principles, but the examples have to be reconsidered to Java ones.

For a beginner
This book is for a beginner to OOP. It isn't very extensive. It only focuses on 4 design patterns. There are many more. I've been programming for 7 years and I was looking for something to help new delve a little deeper. This book was not it. I blew through it in about a half hour. It is decent on the topics it does cover. But in no way will this book help you be an OOP wizard.

best book
It's a better than average book to begin, and as I didn't know much about these diversions, it truly helped me, in light of the fact that it clarifies you what it is about, its fundamental components, advancement packs. It is possibly on account of the teachings I get. Well this book has great tips and clarifications for each beginning developer like me. The creator gave distinctive configuration patters that you can without much of a stretch apply when coding. This is a short book however, I was anticipating that somewhat more should it yet over all alright.

I recommend it.
The book is definitely helpful in understanding Java. This book is very comprehensive and well-written. I received this product during a book promotion where the book was free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. This book is also well-organized and therefore very suitable as a reference manual for looking up individual subjects. The author explains the subjects in an easy way to understand. The book describes in details almost all Java features. This book is very comprehensive and chock full of information. One of the better programming books I have.

Java on the cover, C# the entire content.
Only the cover says Java, everything else is C#. You should be more careful. a total disregard with customers' time.
