This tissue paper is slightly heavier than most dress making patterns, but it is sheer enough for tracing or aligning pattern pieces on patterned fabrics.I've also used it with aerosol fabric glue to stabilise extremely fine silk when cutting out pattern pieces and also sewing the pieces together. Depending on the aerosol fabric adhesive you use (I went for a low-tack water soluble one) you will need to clean the sewing needle frequently to prevent problems when sewing. The tissue paper is strong enough to peel off the fabric without tearing into tiny pieces. Any remaining pieces washed off the fabric easily, but this is mostly a result of the adhesive I used.I've still got plenty of paper left for a few more projects. It's possibly not the cheapest, but it worked well for my needs and I would purchase more of this in the future if I need it.

Unfortunately, the paper roll is a bit too creased for gift wrapping purposes, but did the job for providing inner protection.
