A year plus on, I have purchased a number of these, Extrastar brand, there are two or three other sellers that sell the same under other brands, different sizes and outputs.Overall they are great, they do a good job in lighting and easy to install.At first the light may be a little harsh but eyes will soon become accustomed.As with most lights of this design, the case fixing screws can be fiddly, easy to drop and lose.The one serious issue is the transformer fly lead that attaches to a junction box, the positive and neutral wires are to thin to take a ferrule, I struggled with this. While the stripped ends are soldered before inserting into a junction terminal, wires are to thin and easy to bite through, not good.If the manufacture, regardless of brand, is going to use such size cable, instead of solder ends, they should attach ferrules.

Nice & bright. Easy to fit.

The screws that hold light to ceiling bracket are filled with paint so that screws will not fit. Need to use tap to clear thread

Don't do what I did and look at the light the first time you turn it on. Momentarily blinded myself :-D Excellent light. Can't comment on the ease of installation as we had a professional do it while he was there for something else, but it sits quite flush to the ceiling, and is a *very* bright, cool, white light.

Define reccomend. Well built ,easy to install and bright. Only slight issue is that fixing screws for cover are quite short which makes fitting cover a bit fiddly. Minor issue though and would definitely buy again.
