Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I really wanted to love this spinner - it’s pretty, and I love the colors, but I can’t get it to spin! The winds right now are 10 mph with gusts up to 25 mph and the spinner just sways back and forth. I’ve tried it with the blades fanned out in different positions and with the 2nd swivel hook on and off the tail, but to no avail. It’s hanging next to another spinner I bought that got more than a few negative reviews for not spinning, and that one is spinning so fast it looks like it’s ready to take flight when the gusts blow! I love these kinds of spinners and really wanted this one to work. I’ve added video of the two spinners side by side and you can see this one just sways back and forth.

Excellent quality. Colors are more vibrant than other spinners I have purchased -- actually very close to the pictures. Getting the spiral stabilizer is a major plus -- this item isn't usually included with disc spinners and has to be purchased separately!! I liked this spinner/stabilizer so much, I bought one more Moonrise spinner and two of the Sunrise spinners!! It is also worth mentioning that UpBlend Outdoors sends e-mails thanking customers for their purchases and sends an instructional PDF for fanning the spinners. This is a sign of a very good company.

>>Updated review<<After my original review was posted, the folks at Upblend contacted me and worked with me via email until we got my spinner spinning! It turns out that I had fanned the blades out to too great an angle when setting it up. A little minor adjustment, and now it is spinning happily away in my garden!! Great product and excellent customer service!I really wanted to love the Moonrise Wind Spinner by UpBlend Outdoors...I really did! I had high hopes when I first removed it from the box. It's pretty and seemed sturdy and well made. I was a bit disappointed with the finish, which is more matte than shiny (at least on the "moon" part, the "tail" is nice and shiny), but I could have lived with that. The problem I have is that it just doesn't spin in the wind! I followed the instructions and fanned out the blades, but nope, it just does not catch the wind. Too bad.

Absolutely love this wind spinner. The colors are gorgeous when it spins. Looks great even when it is hanging still. The tail stabilizer is really cool. I have never had one before and it looks amazing in the wind. We are in a very high wind location and this is the first spinner that has not fallen or gotten tangled on a limb. I will definitely be going to UpBlend Outdoors for more designs.

Very nice product, much better materials than expected. I adjusted the blades several times with no problems. I had expected the spinner and spiral helix to be thin, flimsy materials but it was a pure quality item for the value. After a full summer of intense sun and drought conditions it still has a shine, although somewhat less than as new, but anything in the sun we get here fades without protection. Very pleased with the durability. When someone enters my garden on a windy day and says "wow , thats cool" I know exactly what they are talking about without asking, its that eye catching even amongst a heavily planted garden. My hummingbirds have a great time poking at the red ball thinking it has nectar in there somewhere. It sits next to their feeder and they seem to enjoy it there. Try it in different places if possible to maximize the wind and sun. I also urge you to try the different hanger combinations they send with the spinner. Have fun with it, experiment! It also does not need to be close to enjoy it. The reflection can be pretty intense on sunny days and even has startled me once or twice. Love this product! Now bring back that blue moon to complete the set!

Looks cool, and comes with lots of documentation about how to set it up* and where to put it, etc. Seems like a great company. Came with an extra swivel hook and an extra hanging star. It does require either two people to do the bending (as recommended in the manual) or you can do what I did: use the crack in an extendable table to hold the bottom (but use two people if you can).*There is a bit of confusion about how far out to bend the rings: a little card says "maximum 90 degrees", the big manual says "maximum of 70 degrees". I went with 90 (the moon crosswise to the outer-ring sun, with the rings spanning the difference) and it seems to be working fine.

I bought one of these for myself and liked it so much I bought two for gifts.It comes with the sun spinner, three hooks and the helix spiral tail. There's a bit of plastic that hangs in between the two and I cut this off as the whole thing is long enough without a bit of extra plastic.There's also a booklet which describes how you should set up the spinner. Take your time moving out the sections. I did it alone.I hung this up and it looks great. The spinner 'face' is about 10 inches long. This was a great deal and it's very pretty

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Spins perfectly on my back deck, very shiny metallic and heavy red glass balls keeps it from flying around. Takes very little wind to spin it. The price if the spinner and tail combined is a better value than I could but them separately. This thing catches any light amazingly, even at night I can see it catching light when I'm with the dog in the backyard. The video shows it spinning with almost no breeze outside.
