The Yost Vises Apprentice series utility combination pipe and bench vise has a 360-degree swivel base and mounts to a workbench to provide clamping action for light-duty applications. The 360-degree swivel base featuring (2) lockdowns, adjusts the direction of the jaws for proper placement. Hand-tightening the lock knob on the base secures its position. The vise has a cast iron body with steel U-channel bar for durability and has a flat portion that acts as an anvil and additional work surface. The hardened steel top jaws can be replaced when worn, and the built-in cast iron pipe jaws are grooved for enhanced grip. The jaws draw closer together or farther apart by turning the vise handle clockwise or counterclockwise.

Worth it!
Very good quality and versatile enough for AR-15 mods and repairs. Buy with confidence. Will I buy another.... No, will never need one unless a sub-orbital meteor shoots down from Valhalla and smites it... Very well built

Good vise
I use this vise for metal working (holding something while I cut or weld on it). It has held up well and works as expected. One caution, do not use the jaws to try to open something up (pull apart by putting the jaws on the inside of it and opening the jaws). The clip etc. that hold the screw will pop off and you will spend to much time trying to straighten it out and get it back together (not that I've experience this).

Great value, built like a tank.
Was a little worried it would be damaged in transit because it's so heavy, but it was packed very well from the factory and arrived in perfect shape. I can't speak to the longevity or durability b/c I just bought it, but this thing is built like a tank, opens/closes with a nice, smooth action and is even finished well (the paint is bright and uniform). I also bought the magnetic, rubber jaws for holding easily-scratched items and they work well. I had a little 4" vise I bought from Harbor Freight but it was just too small for some projects I do. This is quite a step up in size and quality. And with free shipping for something that weighs close to 50 pounds, you can't go wrong! Very happy so far. Can't see me breaking this any time soon but will re-review if it does.

Nice vise!
Yost Vises 465 6.5" Combination Pipe and Bench Vise Picked this up when it was on sale for about $62! Great deal at that price. I mounted it on the end of my work bench and hope to get many years of use from it. Solid construction and fairly heavy at about 42 pounds, the jaws move nice and freely.

Very pleased, excellent product.
Many useful features, design is effective and very versatile. Would definitely order again although I doubt, that with the way this is built, I will ever need another one in my lifetime. Thank you for a quality built product.

Great quality durability value 5 stars
Guess I hit this purchase just right. I got the 6.5 in cheaper than the 4 in. Showed in 2 day with Prime. Its heavy well made looks good and works great. I’ve had it about 6 months use it all the time with no issues. Though I use it as a vice not an anvil. Be cautious of the reviews on the design of the base needing modifying to work correctly. As I saw nothing on this 6.5 that was remotely close to what has been discribed in other reviews discribing the rotation of the base. It works perfect out of the box and for the money you can’t go wrong. Hence the 5 stars

Absolutely great!!
I have had this vise for a couple months now and I have put it to the limits yet it has stayed in one piece!!! I do quite a bit of metal work so having a good vise on my steel bench is a must. Just couldn't be happier with it I have had heavy steel only clamped on one side and wondering if it will break when I really crank down on it and nope just grabs harder!! Great swivel locks too they haven't moved even moved my bench from side bending steel but never slipped the vice!! Great vice for the price and I would go with this brand again!!! Thank you!

Where have you been all my life??
Great purchase! Can do things now in short order. Before this it took quite awhile some times hours depending on what your doing. I had to remove cross links from my new heavy duty truck chains. They are case hardened steel and not the small verity. The vise held with me using a large punch and a 4lb hammer hitting it more than a dozen times as hard as I could! Vise did not whimper at all. I don't know how I did it with out this Yost Vise. Just get it , you'll love it.
