Good gardening gloves made of something a bit more healthy. Listing is wrong, says a two pack but only sent one.

UPDATE: after a week of hard use working with sticks, brush, prickers, and other rough stuff, I remain delighted with these gloves--I even snagged the back of one and it pulled a long, thin filament of thread out (which I had to cut off) but did not make any breach or significant damage to the spot , as it was only a small part of the overall strand that was affected. They haven't loosened nor have I broken through anywhere on the coating; though a thorn did penetrate at one point slightly, no hole was created. Oh, and I forgot to mention before: they are super soft inside. I just love them and might buy more to have on hand on the sad (and presumably distant) day this pair bites the dust.Original Review: The gloves have just arrived, and I write this review with them on to test maneuverability--so far excellent! I didn't expect much of these gloves just based on the price, but while I have yet to stick them in the dirt they are quite impressive based on initial inspection: the fit is great (I have medium-boned hands but with little flesh, so small is my size girth-wise but it's hard to find them with fingers actually long enough and these are pretty spot-on!), they are comfortable, move well and appear to have a substantial, secure coating and solid weave. I especially appreciate that they are constructed primarily from natural/biodegradable materials (latex coating, bamboo fabric with 15% spandex)--as long as they don't fall apart once I start putting them to work (in which case I will revise this review). And as a bonus they aren't frilly or flower-patterned like most garden gloves for women--the lime green is refreshing and easy to see.Very happy with this purchase, definitely recommend!

I love the fact that these gloves are made from natural materials. That's what caught my attention. They arrived with both pairs of gloves attached together by a very small plastic fastener, the type that is used on clothing with a tag on it. I had a very difficult time trying to cut it off without damaging the outer glove. There just wasn't enough space to get the scissors positioned properly to cut the fastener. It was a bit of a struggle to free the gloves, but when I finally did, I had slightly cut part of the outer glove. My only other issue is that the wristband of the glove is very tight. I have small wrists and the band is still too tight. Maybe once I've been using them for a while they will loosen up. Only time will tell. Still, I would rather use these eco-friendly gloves than the ones I've been buying, that when discarded harm the environment.

I love these and am buying some more. They are great for cutting down Himalayan blackberry and digging in wet clay, as well as being a nice overall gardening glove that provides a good grip and protects my hands. I think mine have worn out because I've been washing them in hot water and drying them in the dryer frequently due to the amount of poison oak I come in contact with in my yard, plus I think the blackberry thorns have weakened them some. But I go out and garden for hours every day and have had the two pairs I've been using for half a year, so I'm happy with their performance.

This is my 2nd pair of these gloves. I needed to buy them because I have worn the first pair so much, I wanted to make sure I could find them again when I eventually wear them out. I’ve had them for about 3 years. I’m in the garden every day and I give them a good workout. They get very dirty, but they show no sign of wear. They provide excellent protection from thorns and other sharp things you find in the dirt. One of the other big pluses about these is that unlike some other garden gloves, my hands don’t sweat in them even on the hottest days of summer. They are also great for pulling weeds. The texture of the fabric makes it easy to get a good grip on them. These are sold by a small family business, which I’m very happy to support. The two owners are friendly, helpful and respond to questions quickly. I’ve got nothing but praise for them and for these gloves!

My yard is full of thorny plants that I have to work around, or pull out. I go through gloves quickly. I wear them for protection and keeping clean. I buy lots of gloves to try, discard some right away if they aren't comfortable. Gloves have to jam in my pocket, fit snugly, but give my hands freedom of movement. I want them to breath. This is my first pair of bamboo gloves. I figured that the colour could make them hard to find if I left them out, or dropped one, but they have that bright stripe at the top of the ribbing, and the green is quite bright, too, so I still have both of them.I will buy more. I like them a lot.The comfort factor of these is perfect. )
