A lot better than I expected.
Someone bumped the front bumper of my car and damaged the chrome trim. I tried variable "chrome" paint in the can, but none of them worked. The best these spray cans can do is create a brushed aluminum look, NOT anywhere close to chrome looking. Don't even waste your time and money with the spray chrome. The only real way to do it is to find someone who can chrome plate, which is expensive. So I decided to try a chrome wrap.I was hesitant to buy this wrap, because some of the reviews complained about finish, some complained about this wrap doesn't work well on curved surfaces, and others complained about the durability of the finish. But the reviews were still better than all the other wraps I could find, si for $10, it was worth a try.I didn't have too much issues with the 3 concerns listed above. Perhaps, it's because the trim I needed to wrap is thin and to get this wrap to work with it was pretty easy, but at least for my application, it was great. I'll comment each of the 3 concerns based on my experience.1. Chrome finish quality: This wrap is definitely shiny like chrome. It has slight texture up close, but from 1-2 feet away, can't really tell. The wrap is very thin and you need to make sure the underlying surface is very smooth because the slightest imperfection will show. I found this out the hard way because I didn't sand smooth the trim piece I was wrapping so the first one, while acceptable looking ,wasn't good enough for my standards.2. Ease of wrapping curved surfaces. I didn't have that much difficulty dealing with the curve of the trim piece. First, remove the plastic protective layer. The wrap itself is flexible, but the protective clear film on top is not, so remove it. For me, it helped to stick a small piece of the wrap in the middle of the curve, and stretch the wrap along the shorter side and then stretch the side on the longer side. The wrap can stretch ok to a point, just don't go overboard. Also, i chose to do a "wrapped edges" approach. Basically I cut the wrap much larger than the trim piece and stretched and wrapped around the edges and in back of the trim piece. This helped keep the wrap around the curve and edges clean.3. Durability of finish. I thought the wrap was pretty durable, but since it is going to be used on the front bumper, I put a small clear bra PPF film on top of it made by Xpel that I had leftover.Overall for $10 and a 3 tries, I think it came out pretty good. Better than spending $100 on a new trim or money to get it chrome plated...

Works great to repair chrome hot wheels
Works great to repair chrome hot wheels. I had some scratches on a rare hot wheels that ruined the look of the spoiler. I cut a small piece of this to fit, and pushed it into the crevasses with plastic tools. Can't even tell there is a repair now.

Worked well for my project.
I used it to wrap the tops of my skis. It was easy material to work with and the results were good. Can’t go wrong for the price if you are working on something less ambitious than trying to wrap an entire car.Satisfied.

Don't Stretch
Looks great, but especially chrome, any stretching will show on the surface, use a blow dryer but you need mad skills to look perfect, you need good skills just to look pretty awesome!

only for flat surfaces, it will wrinkle over the curves but price and quality is good
Product was well packed with no defaults. It was nearly easy to apply even if it was my first try. I did the handles and Morris of my Jimny. Art the beginning of was near to perfect. 1 hour after it started to wrinkle. Nothing to do about it except cut 1 inch. Now it wrinkle a little and in not sure it will hold. I have to say I did prepare the substrate with cleaning with alcool before. Finally over the handles it look clean but on the mirror you can see orange peel effect. It is good from fat but far from good.. I think overall this product was not good for this application, but it is not a bad products, just avoid curves and for a regular project it has a good quality/price.

Very Happy With This Product!
I felt that I needed to write a review on this film after reading so many other reviews were people were disappointed with a variety of other films but this one delivered! I realize that this film is meant to be used on a vehicle but I wanted to replace broken mirrors on a set of night stands and it caught my attention. Everyone's reviews helped me - they are correct that it doesn't stretch, and if you didn't know it was there, you might leave the top coat on after applying the film. I found it easy to reposition if necessary since I was using it on a wooden drawer. I will say the only downfall is that due to it being a thin film and not a mirror, every little defect on the wood is visible - so be sure to prep good! I'm very happy with the results and will probably buy more to use on the sides or top. The reflective quality is "ok" for my purpose but it would not be suitable as an actual mirror. I hope this helps others that want a mirror-look without the cost, mess or breakage of an actual mirror.
