This is the real deal
We were moving from New York to North Carolina and needed extra storage. This really fit the bill. Made of heavy duty material had no problem doing 80+ mile an hour on the highway. I did build a frame to go inside out of three-quarter inch PVC pipe to keep the unit from collapsing on itself due to its soft side material design. I highly recommend the PVC framing for ease-of-use.

Large size bag & responsive seller
8/29/21 Updated Review:Seller reached out to me concerning our luggage getting wet on our first trip with the cargo bag. Seller sent a replacement that we just used on another family trip, it did not rain as much as our earlier trip but it did rain one of the days and with the replacement we had no water issues, everything was dry. I revised my rating do the seller's responsiveness and genuinely wanted to understand why we had an issue and provide a solution.7/25/21 Original Review:Our family had a trip planned from Michigan to Florida and needed a larger Cargo Carrier bag. We have used the Highland 1041700 for the past 6 years and had no issues with water intrusion or wear. Compared to the Highland at first glance the MeeFar did not seem as heavy duty as the Highland. During our trip down, it rained heavily off and on and when we got to our destination our luggage was wet. I made sure the flap was fully covering the zipper and did not see any obvious holes. Having the additional straps on the side are nice to secure the cargo carrier bag to the carrier but I would not recommend if rain is in the forecast.

Water proof not idiot proof
This is a very durable water proof bag. Drove from Ohio to Florida and back and then some with no issues. You have to use common sense though..if you get it close to fire or anything hit it will melt, if it’s rubbing against something sharp and metal for 12 hours it will tear. Make sure your hitch is secure and buy a stabilizer if you need one they are $15. Keep the top flat and not caved in so water will run off. It’s worth the price. Took 6 people on a trip for a week and everything fit with room to spare…and it was all women except for me…

No problems at all!
I've seen reviews here and there that complained about this bag (and others) melting from the car's exhaust. We had no problem, and I drove over 2000 miles with the bag filled with three suitcases plus other items. The hitch carrier basket we bought (from Amazon) was a Curt 24 x60 fold-up carrier with a 500 pound capacity. The shank was about 18 inches long, so the carrier and bag were well away from the rear of the car, so there was zero exhaust heat involved.I suspect that in situations where the bag melted, it involved a smaller/light-duty/non-folding carrier that could be as little as 6 inches from the rear bumper. On our recent trip to Ohio/Tennessee/Florida, I made a point of checking other hitch carriers on the trip, and saw dozens of them. Nearly all of them were very close to the rear bumper, so exhaust heat damage could have been a problem for them, had they used a cover bag. With that in mind, my unsolicited advice would be for folks to buy a heavy-duty fold-up carrier if they plan to use a cover bag like this one (or others).
