Needs fiddling to fit v2.1 camera
The camera module on the v2.1 camera sits too low on the board to line up with the hole in the case.To correct this, you need to put a kink in the tiny ribbon cable that connects the camera/lens to it’s circuit board (see centre of attached photo). This is done by firmly pressing down on the connector that holds the ribbon cable to to board, while pushing the camera/lens towards the connector until the ribbon cable kinks as shown in the photo.Another point to note - this is not a waterproof case, the camera/lens is exposed. This is great forboptics (nothing in the way of the lens) but not ideal for weatherproofing. Some people complained about the clip holding the case shut. If it’s not closing properly and the camera is fitted correctly (see above) then squeezing the c shaped part of the case for a few seconds (without the back on) seems to help it stay clipped together when shut. All in all a pretty decent case considering the price (£3-£4) if you’re prepared to fiddle with it! Would be much better if the hole were positioned differently for the v2.1 camera.

Compatibility issue
Why you say that it's compatible with RPI Camera 3 when it's NOT?! Waste of money and TIME!

It's ok, ask for more for the price
The Pi Camera V2 doesn't fit in well so I'm not sure how it works for the previous camera model.

Fits OK works well
Just received this and after reading other reviews I expected a bit of adjusting to make it fit.The module fitted the 4 location pegs perfectly but the ccd unit was slightly lower than the front hole.Because this is mounted to the circuit board with a double sided sticky pad the location probably varies during manufacturing. I used the back of a small knife to align the ccd with the case hole while assembling and everything fitted perfectly.

Poor, but just about functional
Wish I'd read the other reviews first, but this was an impulse purchase and not a good one. I didn't have the same problems with pins not lining up - my Pi NoIR v2 camera fits reasonably well, although I had to insert it upside down to get the cable out through the slot at the bottom. The camera doesn't quite line up with the hole properly, but it's not quite bad enough that the plastic obscures the images. Why two stars then? Well clearly quality control on this thing is pretty terrible, and in my case, the problem is simply that the case doesn't really snap together at all - in fact it frequently pops loose, leading to the camera angling itself down to the ground. Easily fixed with some tape, but really not pretty, and not what you'd expect from such a simple thing.

which is a good thing. The lens hole is a little off ...
It's ok, it fits the camera module, which is a good thing. The lens hole is a little off and the back does come off every now and then as the bend in the cable pushes it off when it moves. You can obviously tape it down or glue it if your brave. Other than that its fine. Delivered quickly and an ok price.

Raspberry pi camera case.
Bought as a present for my grandson who is already using it with his Raspberry pi camera.
