I bought these to keep my kitten from using my houseplants as a litterbox. The odor was almost toxic and permeated the entire house. They smelled like mothballs on steroids. There was no peppermint smell to them at all.

I am not sure what these are supposed to do. We placed the entire package of these things, evenly throughout our veranda in Jamaica. Ferrel cats will pee on our patio. So, we decided to try these. We left them evenly spaced a few feet apart where the cats can enter and exit. We left our house at 9:00 a.m. while we were sitting in the airport in Montego Bay, my blink camera went off. Sure enough, a cat was sitting next to the item, when the camera gave me the video clip. Sorry, they didn't work at all for us.

This product is a complete joke. This doesn’t work. The smell is horrible and they disintegrate and turn white and just make a mess. Don’t buy

The product was shipped fast. The balls are scented with peppermint oil. They are placed in the organza bags and hung outside. The smell was powerful when I opened the box. When I hung them outside, I could barely smell them. The cats just walk right by them. These were not a deterrent for the cats that visit my yard.

I was worried they wouldn't be affective based off the reviews, but it became my last resort after nothing else worked to keep the cats out of my garden.I placed all ten balls a few feet apart from each other in my garden area and I haven't see a cat digging up my garden since.Thankful that thos product worked.
