Really nice smoky flavour
We use this almost all the time now (except where the food is very delicate and you don't want a smoky flavour) and it is always in the pepper mill on the dining tale. Pungent and tasty.Recommended.

Lovely flavour
These peppercorns have a beautiful smokey flavour and are not too hot. Highly recommend if you want to add flavour but not too much heat.

Lovely two-layered flavour with some bite
These are small peppercorns with a pleasingly powerful punch. The flavour balances well between the usual sneeze-inducing flavour of freshly ground pepper on one hand, and on the other hand a spicy woody smoke flavour that’s got quite a distinctive bite of its own, quite tart and a little bit bitter, but with a fruitier side to it as well, like some sort of chilli pineapple almost. You really don’t need to add very much of it at all to a soup to give the whole thing a curry-style kick, but at long as it’s used in moderation, it does seem to play nicely with other flavours. The peppercorns grind nicely. They aren’t the most firm I’ve encountered, and my hand grinder cuts through them with no issues, and they do grind to a fine if slightly inconsistently-sized powder, with no problems. The primary product photo, at time of writing, feels like a bit of a cheat, as it exaggerates the size of the bag by photoshopping it next to a bowl and spoon which, in reality, would be very very small if they were really that size compared to the bag. However, a 100g bag is a reasonable size, and you can use it so sparingly overall that the bag will last a good while with normal use. The bag actually recommends transferring the peppercorns into a better airtight container once you’ve opened it, which is quite refreshingly honest, and sure enough it’s not a bag that’s got any special freshness seals or other cleverer stuff that you might find with a coffee bag for example.Peppercorns with a kick, these are a powerful option to have in the ingredients cupboard.

Slightly Smokey
The smoked flavour is quite subtle in my cooking so I have been using these peppercorns in my grinder just like any other black pepper. They produce a good and fragrant pepper aroma and taste when ground, with little evidence of the smoke. I would recommend then just as a good quality pepper.

Excellent
These are really easy to cook with and provie great flavour for whatever you use it in! You can chuck them in whole or crush them. I'd advise crushing them first because it's best to remove them if you add them whole, or somebody's going to have an unpleasant thing to bite into. Would recommend!

love these
Organic black peppercorns that have been teak wood smoked are a type of pepper that has been flavored with smoke from teak wood. Teak wood is a tropical hardwood that is often used in furniture making, and it imparts a unique smoky flavor to the peppercorns. These peppercorns are typically sold in 100g packets and are intended for grinding and cooking. They can be used in a variety of dishes to add a subtle smoky flavor to your meals. Some popular uses include seasoning grilled meats, adding to soups and stews, and incorporating into spice rubs for barbecue. When using teak wood smoked black peppercorns, it is recommended to grind them fresh as needed for optimal flavor. You can use a pepper grinder or a mortar and pestle to grind the peppercorns into a fine powder.Overall, teak wood smoked organic black peppercorns are a versatile and flavourful addition to any kitchen.

Very nice as a topping or in sauces
I thought this might be a bit of a gimmick, but I'm pleasantly surprised. You certainly get hit with the smoke smell when you open the bag, and I wondered if this would actually transfer to the taste. Having ground some over some tomatoes I got a gentle but very nice smokey peppery flavour. It's a lot more subtle when ground into an actual dish, so I think to get the full flavour of this it is best used in dressings and sauces or simply ground and sprinkled on your salad, meat, eggs etc. I will enjoy using this, though may do so sparingly as at £5.95 for 100g it's not very cheap.

Lovely flavour
The flavour of the peppercorns is outstanding. I ground them using my electric grinder and they have a really lovely aroma. My daughter and I had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast and the smoky flavour really complemented the meal and gave an extra dimension of flavour that was both subtle and delicious,I'm going to make a steak rub with them too, I think the smoky notes from the teak wood will really enhance the meat. They are definitely worth the investment and if you enjoy cooking with flavourful ingredients, they will add a really unique flavour to any dish you make. It's a 'highly recommended' from me.
