Nice set
I was a bit apprehensive to try this mulling set since the price was so low compared to others, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm sure there the mire expensive sets are much better, but this set is great for the price, especially since I had never made paints before getting this set and I didn't want to invest so much in something I hadn't tried before. The glass slab is a good size (I opted for the larger size) at 12"x12". This size gives me the option to mull larger or smaller batches paints. One side is frosted and the other is smooth. This is nice for having different options for different pigments. The glass muller fits in my hand pretty well, but I could see the handle being too small for someone with bigger hands than mine (I wear a medium in gloves). The mulling surfaces on the muller is also frosted to give some texture for mulling. The palette knives in the set are great for measuring out pigments and binds, along with premixing on the slab and I like having the different shapes and sizes for different uses. The watercolor pans seem pretty standard and it's nice to have the magnets included so the pans can be stored in any metal container without moving around so much.I mulled quite a few colors with this set using pigments from Morocco and Schmincke watercolor binder, and I've been happy with the results of my paints so far.

Great set
This set was exactly what I needed. Everything came packaged well and I can’t wait to use it. The spatulas looked a bit cheap as I could see the glue and finger prints and the price was a little expensive but the muller and glass are nice. The size is perfect since I only make small batches.

Love it perfect!!
Works wonderful! It's decently thick for what you pay for. It's a good value for easy to use and the tools it comes with are great. Perfect for anyone starting to get into making watercolor paints.

Love it!
Great! I’ve been dabbling in making watercolor paint out of rocks from our property. I’m a newb but this feels like pro quality.

Quality Muller and Slab!
The media could not be loaded. I am absolutely pleased with this muller and slab purchase. The slab has the perfect texture, and the muller is a perfect size for me. Both have a nice weight to them. Palette knives, extra half pans, magnets, and non slip pads, were a nice extra. I would have paid the price, even if those items were not included. The size of the slab is perfect for me. It's shy of 12 inches by 12 inches. Of note, the muller does have a smooth glass surface and is not textured. That didn't affect the performance for me. There is enough friction between the slab and muller to finely grind the pigments. Overall, I very much enjoyed using this set, to make my watercolor paints.

Glass will easily break
The glass broke, I put it back in the original box and put it in a plastic Rubbermaid tote. When I got it back out it was broken. I didn’t even move the tote. The cardboard box was not damaged at all. But the glass somehow cracked. It was handled with great care and must of been a defect in the glass. So now I’m left with a mini sized muller and some cheap painting accessories for the price, definitely skip and get something else.

Good to try it out
Its so tiny... LOLIt was my own fault not seeing the scale of the glass plate and muller but otherwise it is as advertised. If you are looking to try out making your own paint this is a decent start to see if its for you. (I got it for watercolor making)I couldn't stop laughing at its tiny scale but its all quite usable.

GLASS EXPLODED
The media could not be loaded. I had it and used it over a week and it was wonderful, then while it was in the living room alone on the table it exploded. I was upstairs and thought something fell down, then I went downstairs and saw the mess. Turn up the video and you can still hear the glass cracking. Nothing fell on it or touched it and the only thing resting on it was the little eye shadow tins you see in the video. It is exactly 72 degrees F at all times. So it wasn’t temperature and the only explanation I can find is that there is nickel in the glass as a flaw in production. I was lucky I was upstairs, had I been down there when it exploded I could’ve gotten really hurt. It won’t let me return it or get a refund for it so I don’t know what to do because none of the prompts cover this. I just hope that someone sees this and takes the product down because this was extremely dangerous and downright insane.
