I got this for the random cold season camping adventures, and for emergency use as I live in the south and we get random pop up storms that can knock out the power for several hours. While I am not a fan of the use of gas, in a pinch it does the job of heating you up very well, and at minimal cost. The size is fairly compact, and for now I am keeping the box to store it in while not in use, but would be nice to have a more sturdy longer lasting carrying case for it (I don't like the thought of having this thing get knocked around without some form of protection since again it's gas powered and a smidge on the unsafe side to let the components get whacked around just my two cents). Otherwise I say if you know you need one, plan ahead by grabbing it on sale before you need it, and get one for a great value!

Of course it is too hot to use this right now, but We are going to be moving to the Midwest, and I am thinking ahead. I've lived there before and have lost power for days due to snow and ice. I call this being prepared. We always keep 2 propane cylinders, since we hate to run out of gas in the middles of grilling dinner, so having a spare tank makes this propane heater so easy to use, as we have it's fuel source handy.To operate this small heater, it attaches to the propane cannister the same way you attach your grill. Easy Peasy, even I can do that! It also makes this a go-anywhere heat source. that is as at home in the garage as it is heating your patio or remote camping spot.It's actually pretty small when it is not hooked to the tank, which makes it easy to store too!Bottom line, It really puts out some heat!5 hot stars!
