Good pump
Reliable and well built. Much better than the Chinese knock off that it replaces.

Very good pressure after 150 yards
Well it’s the first one of this type and make I have had and it works very well good pressure even better than from my tap. I’m using this to water my garden from a large water but I’m very impressed as it has to push it some 150 yards and give a good supply to actually put you’re finger over the hose end to act as a spray would recommend this but will see how it goes for next year as well the one from another company had some mild steel parts that rusted away letting it down.

Powefull pump
This pump is both surprising and a little disappointing in that it does not self-prime. (loses a star for that)The good is the amount of water it can shift, I was not too sure what 61L per minute would look like but once this thing is primed and all air leaves it, it really digs in and starts to shift that water fast. I needed to empty a large soakaway that had filled up and started to flood into the garden grass with the potential to further flood the house with further rain forecast. I wanted to make at least some capacity by shifting the water away. I bought an inlet hose from Screwfix with a filter and valve, it fitted perfectly onto this pump, I put 50m of lay flat 1" hose on to the outlet and manually primed the pump by pouring water into the priming hole after removing the plug. Switched on and after a few seconds it was shifting serious amounts of water and quite quietly to boot.Additionally, the mains cable is too short to not need an extension cable, not ideal with water about! So if you get one make sure its waterproof to the level you need. Note this pump is not submersible in any way and must be kept dry, that’s not so easy to do without using clamps on the pipe fittings to hold hoses in place. The pressure at the outlet will easily force the pipe off if not clamped on. The pump easily inflated the flat hose with some force and I needed to adjust the run of the pipe to remove kinks for best flow.No inlet adaptor is supplied with the pump and the Screwfix 78767 version fits/screws directly into the inlet thread on the pump so great for the price. Note: the inlet hose needs to be sufficient to be able to withstand the vacuum of the pump or it will collapse. I bought the reenforced hose above with a spiral ring inside and it worked fine pushed down into my soakaway. If using lay flat hose, you will want to use a 90deg outlet fitting so the hose comes away horizontally from the pump top outlet. One is supplied but you need to check it’s the correct size for your pipe. All in a good purchase.

Excellent product
Works really well. Far better than the hozelock I had before which broke down after a couple of years with only occasional use. Good pressure and high water volume

My brother has a Cottage with a rural water supply which needs encouragement now and again. This did the trick and its a well made (no pun) piece of kit

Annoying
It’s cheap. It’s a cheap build. Comes with the fitting for just one side like buying a bike with one wheel....... useless. If you buy this, be patient and carry on purchasing and finding the time to get the correct fittings. A standard garden hose won’t fit the fitting. I messed around with this pump trying to get it to work. I cut a perfectly good piece of hose in half so this thing was able to suck up some water. It’s a frustrating thing that needs someone who has retired and can spend the week on it.

Great piece of kit. Managed to fill and pressurise my solar heating circuit effortlessly. Nice and quiet too.
