It’s in good condition, and is definitely aiding me in my beginners violin journey. Me and my tutor use this book during practice and its been a lifesaver actually being able to have the book with me instead of taking photos of the sheet music/ having it printed out.Many thanks

I teach violin and recommend this book to all my beginner pupils. The printing is clear and easy to understand, the tunes are all well known and progression is carefully managed so that only one new idea is introduced at a time. It's great that it is available both with and without CD as not everyone wishes to spend the extra £££s for a CD they may not use. The only gripe I have is concerning the bow-hold illustration. It is not terribly clear, and I feel that it might be better to use a photograph to show this important component of technique. Will still use this book in my teaching though as I haven't found a better one yet.

This was recommended by the violin teacher and is definitely a good starter book for complete beginners. Well worth the money.

My daughter started the violin at school aged 7 and this was the book that her teacher recommended. She really enjoys learning the songs and some of them are ones she already knows so she enjoys it more. It has pictures of where to put your hands and lots of helpful information including a couple of CDs so she can play along for practice when her teacher is not there.

Easily set out and the pieces introduce difficulties one by one - great. At the moment, I am working on two pages and the pieces are providing me with particular difficulties. Provides music for the teacher to accompany the student. It's well planned for learning.

I ordinarily play the guitar and the flute so this book has been brilliant for sorting out the placement of fingers to note on the violin neck board. Definitely a good starter book also for those who aren’t musical.

My son finds this book useful. I don’t play the violin and I don’t understand it but he seems to be finding it easy to use it. I’m making sure it’s in mint condition so I can pass it on to my niece and nephew
