Maynards Bassetts Jelly Babies Sweets Bag 165g (Pack of 6)

I liked the candies because they still have the same flavor that I remember from years ago when I visited Europe

I was worried they were going to be melted together because several reviews said they were. I have ordered these a few times and never had a problem with them melting together. I was careful with when I ordered them and made sure the day they arrived would be a cooler day or that I would be home to bring them in. I tend to order them around the fall or winter because it's colder and I don't have to worry about them melting. Just be aware of the outside temperature when ordering and when they're being delivered and melting shouldn't be an issue.

I would not usually consider any candy that is not chocolate. I had these in the UK when I was jetlagged and feeling pukey, and was instantly addicted. I lived on them while I was there, lost 10 pounds. Wonderful texture, not too sweet. Yum! Even good when stale.

This order was for a four-pack of Maynard’s Jelly Babies. These are an excellent, delicious item, however: All four packages arrived melted into a solid sheet of sticky, melted jelly. These items are not returnable per Amazon policy. I will try to contact Amazon Customer Service to obtain a replacement item which hopefully will not be melted beyond recognition.Update: I did contact customer service and they did issue a refund for this item : thank you, Amazon!

Melted horrible mess in the bag. All mixed together and tasted horrible as a result. Had horrible bathroom issues the next day and I only ate a small amount. Gross. Went straight into trash after those first few bites. Supposed to be a birthday treat to myself, but ended up as a birthday disaster :(

I wish it were easier to get these in the US. These were great! Exactly as expected.

So being a huge fan of the 4th Doctor I decided to get some more Jelly Babies & enjoy the tons of reruns on the Pluto TV app's Doctor Who Classics channel (it's a great free app w/a bunch of awesome classic channels aside from Doctor Who BTW, DL it from the Google Play store). Having had the Maynards Bassetts brand before I decided to get the Gustaf's & do a head to head comparison. Well, it's a toss up. Overall I do prefer the Maynards Bassetts to the Gustaf's. The texture is better, the Babies themselves tend to be thicker, and the natural flavors are more on point to the fruits they represent. However the Gustaf's have a green apple flavor that MB does not make, are covered in more powdered sugar if that is your thing, but most importantly the price point on the 2.2lb bag can not be beat. My final decision? If I have to absolutely choose only one I will go for the MB brand, but in reality I will continue to buy both brands as they both have good flavor & the various points outlined above make it almost a tie w/MB just barely pulling the lead.

Tastes great. Addicting. Got hooked after geowizard gassed them up a while back
