These scrunchies are cute and really keep lice away. It is something that kids will be able to use without a fuss, especially those with long hair and more prone to lice. There are also cute colors, which are solid, that can be used for adults as well.

I bought these for the repel mosquito possibility. Our mosquitos have been swarming around my face. I thought why not give it a try. They smell really good fresh out of the bag. Essential oil smell but not overpowering. Says on bag has tea tree, lavender, geranium, peppermint, and geraniol. Made from soft fabric. Pretty strong elastic. Was able to hold my long hair up in a messy bun. I have used the same one for several consecutive days and the elastic has stayed strong without stretching out. The claim of repel mosquitos I really couldn't see much of a difference. For the reason of repelling lice well I guess advice from a former retired school nurse is the education of not sharing hats, brushes, hairbands and scrunchies and other personal items goes a long way to help keep lice off your little girls hair. They are creatures of opportunity and if they have the opportunity to crawl on over onto your child they will. So just wearing the hair up is also a good way to try to prevent a child from getting lice. Will these help repel them? In theory, but the smell wore off after the first day of use so not sure how much of a repellant they would be for long. These scrunchies came in a bag of 5 for about $10, so that is about $2 per scrunchie comparable to most average scrunchies. I got yellow, white, lime green, and red. (Not pictured is the navy blue that I have in my hair). Hey mom if you think it might help deter lice then by all means give it a try. Speaking from my school nurse experience it is a nightmare to get all the nits pulled of the hair strands and cleaning all the home up if your child brings them home. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and that's the nit picking truth. I gave them a 4 star not as a negative they are a good scrunchie but to market as a lice/mosquito product I'm not convinced they are instant invisibility cloak everybody would want.

I love these scrunchies! They are so cute and comfortable, and they really keep the bugs away. I used to get bitten by mosquitoes all the time, but not anymore. They smell nice too, like lavender and mint. I wear them every day, and I get so many compliments. They are perfect for summer, or any time you want to protect your hair and scalp from lice and other pests.

While I can’t say for sure that it’s because of the scrunchies, we don’t have lice, so we’ll keep using them. They’re cute and comfortable and the smell is light and pleasant. Once the scent is gone, we just use them as regular scrunchies or add a couple of drops of tea tree essential oil to them.

My daughter is in first grade and after she was exposed to lice we started using these. She has not gotten lice at this point and there’s no way to be certain that the scrunchie is working as described but I can tell it’s not NOT working. Better safe than sorry at this point. Plus, the scrunchies are cute.

These help but are not going to repel 100% if you already have an infestation on your hands or if your are in a home (etc) with an infestation for a long period of time.These smell nice, they help some but are not fool-proof Prevention, expecially if you are on a home with an infestation for a good amount of time.You would have to combined this with other prevention, but mine you. You could also get it on your clothing etc and carry it with you. So, please be mindful of that.These are great prevention scrunchies, expecially for the kids. And, if you are going to spend the night at a friend's house it is also another time to use prevention (just incase!).I would recommend these to anyone worriedand know anyone who knows someone who has / recently had them.

I like these for myself and my Daughter they area what you want and exist from a scrunchy but with some added bonuses. They hold your hair up well and hopefully preventing lice. They area super bright colors so I can spot my daughter at the playground faster. We also using got camping to keep bugs off of us.
