I just went from a small crossover back to a full size truck (late model Tundra). I had ratchet straps, a tow strap, bungee cords, and a few small toolkits squirreled away in various storage compartments and in the main cargo area of the crossover. I wanted a toolbox, but also knew from my first generation Tundra that most of the ones at the big box stores eat up a lot of bed space, and quickly devovle into large bins of junk with a few useful items on the top near the driver's side. I also learned, too late of course, that the outer width of the bed is not the toolbox size, and that particular Tractor Supply toolbox still has j hooks holding it in through through the sidewalls...Enter the UWS slim low profile 69" toolbox. This is EXACTLY the size I needed, and the build quality I wanted. It is big enough to be functional, but small enough to maintain plenty of usable bed space. The foam filled lid feels better and sturdier than any other truck toolbox that I've ever opened. The latches feel positive, rather than spongy like big box store toolboxes, and the gas struts are extremely strong. If you're wondering whether or not there is an actual difference between these and cheaper boxes, you can stop. You absolutely get higher quality with UWS.It arrived in bright aluminum, as most reviews mention, which I preferred over the idea of matte black. Packaging was excellent, and I didn't see any damage (at least at dusk.) I stumbled onto this box when Amazon had it priced at $204. It was $369 pretty much everywhere else, and is $369 on Amazon as I write this. It's worth that, when compared to $225 toolboxes at Lowe's and Home Depot. Anything under $300 for it is a great deal.My initial impression could not be more positive.

Been buying and using UWS truck boxes for 20 years, quality is still top notch. This particular one with the updated packaging arrived without a blemish (see pic), it was honestly over-packaged. Arrived two days after ordering and fits my 2019 Ram Rebel perfectly. Some questions were asked if it is black or stainless, the title says black, but the description is stainless, - it’s stainless - which is what I wanted.

In spite of the description saying the box is black it isn't. The box is solid. The packaging was perfect! Install is a breeze. The lid is definitely better than the normal lid. The box is not deep. I wanted to stand up 1 gallon of bar oil but you can't stand up a gallon jug in the box. Time will tell concerning durability but it seems very well made.

The box is very clean and light weight. I have it on my new 2020 Denali 1500. It works very well for my application. I do not have heavy supplies in the box. I find that it is a dash flimsy on the middle base and the lid in the middle. For my work I would still buy it again. UWS makes others that are a little more beefy for those of you needing heavier duty

Super price, great quality and easy to install. Everything needed to install is included. Lock is stiff at first and gets easier with use.
