Single satellite meter
This unit was fairly easy to use and attach to my dish. Fast and easy to reinstall my dish. Only down side is that it will only provide signal intensity, but does not help in providing signal quality which is what you really need to know in order to actually get channels. The signal intensity basically tells you that you are locked in on the satellite in the sky. It works best for single satellites. Dishes that receive multiple satellite signals won't tell you the difference, you have to rely on the tv satellite to identify the satellite. You have to tune to the main signal and hope the others will be received by the receiver. After some struggle, I had my dish setup receiving a good signal quality to provide TV channels. I used a compass and inclinometer phone app to get a rough idea of where the satellite is supposed to be in the sky and pointed my dish there. Good value.

Didn’t work
Maybe it was just my unit but it gave the same reading no matter how I moved the dish. Yes, I turned the attenuation down so it was on the scale. But once there, no amount of movement in the dish changed the reading at all. I replaced this unit with the cheaper one here on Amazon and that one worked just fine. Also, the compass was 180 degrees out of alignment. I live on a north facing coast, I know where north is and this compass said it was south.

Cheap and cheerful, but works ok - ATPWONZ Satellite Signal Finder, SF-95DR
It works and is easy enough to use. I connected it today as I was wondering if my dish had moved in the wind, turned out that with experimenting with this signal meter that the coax was bad at the LNB end. Stripped it back, cleaned it up, reconnected, hey presto all good, and this little gadget helped to ensure a good signal before I taped it all back up. All while at the dish itself. One thing; the little compass in the front of this is awful, it doesn't work, but then I'm ok with that. For me it's having the signal meter working is the key thing, and it has done its job today already.

Not good
Signal finder did not register a signal when clearly there was a signal.
