Cultured ghee with a 'caramel-like' roasted flavor
Good, almost caramel flavor in bulletproof coffee. When it goes on sale, stock up! Great product and good value. I can't tolerate casein, and this product does not cause problems.

Fantastic Ghee! It's my favorite brand by far
Fantastic Ghee! It's my favorite brand by far. I was at Costco last week and found ghee there in a HUGE tub and thought I would give it a try. Wasted my money! It was really oily and had a terrible, almost rancid taste. Definitely not the delicious, nutty, rich pure ghee flavor that I was expecting. This is the best tasting ghee and I've learned the difference in quality and taste!

creamed Gold
Came back to Tin Star- excellent quality and flavor for morning brews and evening meal enhancers. Received it last night and have used it twice already. Came bubble wrapped, which is good because there was slight leakage, so my jar was a bit slick and shiny.

Just okay.
I’ve tried numerous variations and types of ghee butter for my bulletproof coffee. This one isn’t my favorite, but it also isn’t my least favorite. The flavor is decent, but it’s a little thin for my taste. Probably won’t purchase again.

So Yummy!
This product reminds me of lobster butter, but with more depth of flavor due to the ghee being "browned". Just a teaspoon on a family-sized serving of veggies adds a ton of flavor. I always try to have a spare full jar on hand, because Amazon runs out of this product now and then.

Must contain Casein. Won't buy again
I'm allergic to the proteins in dairy products (milk & butter) so I use ghee regularly. BUT... I react to this ghee. It must have casein in it because I'm experiencing allergic symptoms. It really does have a better flavor than plain ghee. Rich and with the hint of caramel flavor/aroma, but it's not sweet... at all. And it doesn't seem to be free of milk proteins.

Not Up To Standards
I was disappointed in this brown butter ghee for several reasons. At a room temperature of 68 degrees it is watery and the texture is grainy. And for a brown butter, it barely has any taste. For $15 I thought maybe it would save me the time and trouble of making my own, which is far superior to this product. The ghee I make at home with grocery store butter has a creamy smooth texture, is very solid and stable at room temperature, and has a distinctive, bold, almost addictive taste. I use it up very fast, which is why I was hoping to find a comparable product that I didn't have to make myself.

the contents clearly smelled like the ghee I am used to purchasing
Big fan of Tin Star. Although, on this particular purchase, I was accidentally sent ghee instead of brown butter. Having never ordered the brown butter before, I wasn't 100% sure what to expect. But though what I received had a brown butter label, the contents clearly smelled like the ghee I am used to purchasing. I figured maybe the difference just wasn't as dramatic as otherwise and continued to use it because it's a standard in my kitchen. However, I recently purchased brown butter again for a second go, and the contents of this second jar are dramatically different. So now, comparing the two, I know I was sent the wrong thing the first time. That being said, all their products are great and it was a mixup. But if you've never had the brown butter before are unsure, you may be experiencing what I did. The brown butter is thicker and truly smells more caramel-y.
