The doorbell arrived with Prime next day delivery in a much smaller box than I was expecting. The door bell is fitted either by using two screws that are supplied with raw plugs or by using some heavy duty 3M tape which is also supplied. I opted to use the screws which went into my wooden door frame very easily. Special care should be taken if using the 3M tape as it is very easy to fix the door bell upside down and with the 3M tape I expect that once it is on it will be difficult to adjust the orientation of the doorbell. Why is this important? Well two reasons. 1. The doorbell does not have a weather seal and there is more opportunity for water ingress at the bottom of the doorbell than the top, so if you fix the doorbell upside down there is more chance of water entering. In the correct orientation water will struggle to enter. 2. The second reason is that the product brand is written in black letters across the doorbell so if you like your text to be the right way up like me it is important to remember to check before you fix the doorbell.Using the screw fixings this was not a problem. My mistake had been to position the doorbell based on the text written on the circuit board which should have been upside down. The battery goes to the top.I noticed on the instructions that the battery is not included, it was included in my package but may have been added separately. The doorbell uses an unusual A23 12v battery so it will not be a case of going to the local store to purchase one if one is not included.Pairing the chime with the doorbells was an easy process. Simply plug the chime into a power socket and then press the volume and tune selector buttons on the side of the chime for 5 seconds until the unit beeps and then press the button on the door bell. I had two chime units so I repeated this process for the second unit. The chime units can be used with a double socket without encroaching on the space for a second plug and hang slightly lower than the socket by maybe 3 cm. When the doorbell is activated a blue ring on the chime flashes with 6 LED lights to give a visual cue that someone is at the door.We have placed one unit in the house and the second unit in an outhouse in the garden about 30-40m from the door bell, both units are triggered by the button press without issue.The chime units have 3 volume settings - quiet, Medium and LOUD. This is set by pressing the volume button on the side of the unit once twice or three times.There are 52 different "melodies" which are set independantly on each chime unit and take a little time to run through. I would recommend listening to them on the quietest level and also making and be prepared to listen to everything from harsh chimes to barking dogs as well as some long tunes that make you wonder what callers would think about you if they heard them.So in summary the doorbell is easy to fit, easy to setup and has a good variety of chimes. Not bad at all.

Delivery as quoted, certainly very well packaged to avoid damage in the post. Very simple to install, first pop open the bell push (transmitter) & put the battery in place & close the cover. Now either use the double-sided tape on the back of the bell push & stick in place or use the two screws in the locator push-outs & screw carefully into place being careful not to over tighten the screws & crack the case, close the cover on the bell push (transmitter). Next plug one wireless receiver into the first desired electrical socket, press the music switch & choose your tune then press & hold the volume control button & the music switch OR press & hold the volume control button for 5 seconds, you should here a ding-dong warning tone & the blue LED flashes on the wireless receiver. This means the pairing mode is activated then push the bell which will play your music choice & means pairing is successful. Repeat for the second wireless receiver. NB-If your second wireless receiver is in a part of the house which will take you more than 5 seconds to reach, check blue LED is flashing then get back in time to push the bell (transmitter) pairing may not be successful with the second wireless receiver, I found it easier to have another person by the wireless receiver to shout & tell you OK so you can push the bell & complete pairing. Finally, you can have each wireless receiver playing a different tune if you so desire. It was initially great. We used it on the shower door to alert us when my daughter who has special needs and epilepsy opened it to take a shower. It was initially great. After 6 weeks it just stopped working. 2 weeks past the return window! won't pair and no chimes btteries in sensor ok. Great idea, poor product.

I am not good with technology. In the past, I have missed many doorbell rings because I am up in my bedroom or bathroom and have the radio etc playing and don't hear the doorbell (not even a large house). This is so easy to set up. A sticker is provided to put the doobell outside. I then have it plugged in downstairs and the other unit in my bedroom. You can select whch music plays when the doorbell is pushed. A lot of choice. Some too long and irritating but the point is, you don't want to miss a doorbell call. Absolutely brilliant especially the fact you can set it up withough any knowwledge of phone apps, IT etc. You can set the tune you want to pay but if you ever unplug it (fo example, to plug the vacuum cleaner in) then it reverts back to the beginning and you have to choose the tune again. Obvious answer is to set up a multi switch so I don't have to remove the door bell app.I've had mine going for quite few months. Wonderful and so easy to set up. Just be prepared to keep resetting the 'tune' if you disconnect it to plug something in instead. Some really long, annoying sounds but the purposeis to make yu know someone has rung the doorbell. Some very anoying sounds and you have to set if you unplug but I just have to give 5 star as I now never miss someone ringing to doorbell and it really was a plug and play device. No app, no fiddling with technology.
