I'm not a speed cyber, but this works great and spins with little friction.

My son loves competing in cubing competitions and this is the cube he loves. He practices EVERY day and carries it in his pocket as a fidget toy. It’s quiet so it doesn’t drive me crazy hearing the click, click of the turning. Great product and he performs well at competitions with it.

My 11 year old son competes regularly in cubing competitions and will only use this cube. He’s tried them all.

The Tornado V4 is easily one of the top 3 speedcubes on the market as of now with its smooth and controlled turning feel, cube is very stable with its new magnet setup but still has it tactile feel while turning, corner cutting seems to be about the same as other cube in its price point.If your coming to this cube from the older Tornado V3 Pioneer your going to have a hard time adjusting, the cube just feel too different for me to keep my average and raised my time by 2 seconds. The main thing I notice was the turning force needed the V4 was much lighter to turn compared to the V3, magnet strength seems to be weaker in the V4, I'm not getting that crisp tactile feel while tuning. Auto alignment is gone in the V4, this was the hardest part to get use to, my turning isn't the most accurate and having the auto alignment really helped me out.I do recommend this with a caveat. If this is going to be your first high end cube your not going to find anything better within its price point. If your coming to this cube from the V3 I would look for videos online before you make your choice it seems the V4 Standard model is closer to the V3 with the magnet updates.

Great product, Amazing speed hit every spot of perfect. Helped me get better and increase times. I recommend this to beginners that are trying to learn, I think this will make it much easier!

The Tornado v4 Pioneer is the newest top-of-the-line 3x3 from Qiyi. The previous iteration, the v3, was used to set a bunch of records. I expect more of the same from this one.Out of the box, the tensions are pretty much perfect (for me). Feeling is a little scratchy and sandy. You get adjustments for tensions and center travel, as well as adjustable magnets. All of these are pretty easy to manipulate and you're sure to find some settings that work for you. Unlike many maglev cubes, the speed is not out of control either.The UV coating is a little slippery at first but that will break in over time.I personally am not a huge fan of the feel of the plastic itself. Hard to describe, I'm just more a fan of the plastic Moyu uses.Overall, this is a really good cube but you might be better off with the Flagship version (which is the version many chose with the v3). Feels a bit overpriced at its current price but not overly so. If you're looking for a new 3x3, you could certainly do worse than this one.
