These have a nice, tight seal. The seal is so tight that when I wasn't careful and pulled off the lid, some Robin eggs flew out. It looks like glass, but it is not. If one of my dogs or cats knocks it off the coffee table, I don't think it would crack. Some may not like the tighter seal, but I do because I know my one dog can not get into this jar. This is the same dog that can take the lid off of Tupperware containers, or can manipulate opening a container. It's nice to display my Easter candies, etc. at our low level coffee table without worrying about him getting into the chocolate. One Christmas, he opened a container and ate all of the homemade peanut brittle that a friend gave me. He can not get into these jars and doesn't even try because his "hound" nose can't smell through the secure, stay fresh seal on the lid. If you want a simple, non resistant lid, this is NOT the jar for you. This is a jar that is safer from breakage, but looks like glass. It's appearance is attractive and it's clarity shows off the contents very nicely.

Does not hold a large amount, but it holds well what it does hold.Fortunately I bought it to replace a glass cookie jar, the top of which had broken. So new top fit old roomy bottom perfectly. Haven't yet found a use for new bottom, but it's lovely and sturdy and I'm sure I will.

My daughter got this about a month ago and loves it. I went to see her and went to steal a cookie and I lifted the entire jar off the counter. It's not that big but the seal on the top is great. The cookies stay fresh and it looks good on the counter. Hard to resist when you can see what's inside!

I like that it is clear and it looks and feels sturdy, I just wish that it was bigger. The picture was deceiving, it made it look like it was bigger.

This is a lovely jar, a little small. Great for candy but a little small for a package of cookies. I was worried about possible scratching because it's acrylic, but so far so good. It's really cute!

Much smaller than expected and it's so tight of a seal that I'm afraid to put anything in it for fear that it will get tossed out of the jar upon opening it

Great for a candy jar. Reasonable price.
