This review is for the slim version with the short cable, not the new version with the long cable.Great product. I know if I didn’t take care when using it, it would probably be broken by now. I say this because, products built this way usually spoil. The way to make this product last is to limit the movement of the cable.What I did was buy a lightning extension lead. I have left the device on a surface where it doesn’t move, connected the long lightning cable extension lead to the device, and then finally to my phone.This limits the movement of the device and the lead attached to it, and prevents wear and tear. The lightning extension lead gets all the wear and tear. However, because there is no longer a heavy device hanging and swinging from the phone anymore, that short lead that comes out of the device no longer suffers from wear and tear. I think the lightning extension lead will last a long time.The device could be improved by separating the lead that comes out of it. One side already has an Ethernet port, so maybe add a USB port to one side, this way we can use replacement USB-to-lightning leads and not have to worry about the device spoiling.An extra would be a headphone jack would be great. The only thing I can do now is find a set of USB headphones and use those, although I haven’t tried yet. It seems like the lightning port on the device is only used for phone charging.

Bought two of these, the first used by my husband, used often, failed within weeks. The second, used by me, not so often, has also failed. The lightning connector, where you plug in the power, keeps falling out and the connection is intermittent. Both purchases have turned out to be a complete waste if time and money. Horrendous quality, especially at the price that this adapter costs. Extremely upset, to say the least. My husband messaged the supplier FOINNEX on Twitter numerous times to have these replaced, zero response. To give some credit, they did respond quickly and replace the first unit via Amazon, but zero response when advising them mine has been useless for charging since early December. Product worked great for Ethernet initially, however, often getting a popup stating the product is not supported but unplug, plug back a few times resolves this. Problem is you are paying well over double for the lightning power/charging capability. I purchased an Elecjoy Lightning power capable adapter before these, still with no issues so far, for half the price! Maybe the USB-C doesn’t suffer the same issues, but our iPads and iPhones are all lightning, I'm so disappointed in this product especially at the price it is!

I'm using this product with an iPhone SE (2020) running iOS 13.5.1.90% of the time the device works fine with a TP-Link Powerline plug-in adaptor, however, occasionally I'll receive an error message on the iPhone along the lines of "this device is incompatible" and it cuts out.

I used these for my iPhone SE and iPad 12” Pro.I liked the neat and compact design of this product very much, and because of this I purchased another and also a replacement when the first one failed in the hope that failure would be a one off.However the second and third adapters also failed at approximately the same amount of time from new and I now have 3 of these adapters total value £120 that do not work, and I am very disappointed in them.All I can say is, do not buy this product unless you are prepared to replace each 6 times a year at an annual cost of approximately £240.

Second purchase. First one lasted just about a year. These adaptors seem to eat the battery power so having the option to have a power cable is a must.

Works as intended with no fuss.Only downside is it sucks the battery out of your device. Thankfully I bought the one with a charging port so I can charge while in use.

Item arrived well packaged and day following order being placed. Ethernet connection works well with an ipad pro, helping to avoid dropped connections on wi fi. Happy with purchase and would use this supplier again

It is NOT USB, it is Lightning, so it is NOT compatible with iPad Air!
