A hundred times better than the Glad bags!
Since we moved to a city where we're forced to compost, we have been trying to make the process as painless as possible. That means a liner in the compost bin under the sink that we carry out to the curbside bin once or twice a week. We started with the Glad branded bags because they were available in a local store and specifically say they are okay for "municipal compost programs". They were better than nothing and so I ordered our next set from amazon when we ran out. Ever since, we've been cursing each weekly encounter. The glad bags are unbelievably fragile. There is almost no way to pull one out and get it into the compost container without it splitting. It's almost like the bags were intended as a joke. We split about two bags for every one we get into the container. At the end of the week, about half the time we find that the bags have started to leak from the bottom into the container. That means the purpose has been defeated and we have to wash out the bin.Looking for alternatives, I tried these Bag-To-Nature bags. They are SO much better than the Glad ones. They're not nearly as fragile, and feel much more like a regular bag. I don't know if they break down quicker or slower than the glad bags, but I don't care. I'm being forced to do the composting and these seem like a good compromise. I only wish I could get them on subscribe, but that's not a big deal.

Great substitute for the Full Circle compost bags.
I have the Full Circle compost collector. I ran out of the bags that came with it very quickly. I search for the waste bags designed for collector but at that time they were approx $9 plus shipping. No way I wanted to spend that much, so I was in need and ordered these instead. I was concerned about the size and quality initially but after using for several months, I know I will just order these again. When I first used them, the bags seemed a little thin and a little to big. Both of those reservations about the product are long gone. The thinness has not been an issue yet, NO LEAKS after using approx 12 bags. Also the size helps when you remove the bag from the collector. With the extra room you can remove the bag and close it up (twist & tie a knot) with no problem. A couple of times I stuffed it to the point of only being able to close the bag but not secure it. The extra room still allowed me to carry the bag to the bin to dispose it with out worrying if the mess inside would falling out.I usually worry about getting an item not designed for the tools that I have. In this case they are perfect for what I need. I change my bags weekly and have not been disappointed yet.

Work well--once you get them open!
They are stronger than other compostable bags that I've used, and hold up well even if contents are a little wet. My only issue is how hard it can be to get the bag open. The last box I got, I thought for a while that I'd been sent a single sheet of the material by mistake instead of actual bags, it was so hard to get the edges apart. And, yes, I was working on the edge that's supposed to open :)

Extra weak, not extra strength!
I have been buying and using Bag To Nature compostable bags for a few years now. Initially I was skeptical because they felt so flimsy, but they were pretty amazing. Durable and perfect for my small compost bucket. But my purchase in October 2018 changed all that. It appears that they have changed how they make the bags. They feel a little thicker, less pliable, and worst of all, they break at the bottom of the side seams. I still had a box of the old ones left and compared - and indeed the formulation seems significantly different. The two pictures I posted show the first page out of the box split at the bottom when I pulled it out of the bucket. I had "lightweight" scraps in it - nothing overly heavy - and I didn't try to compact the bag before making a knot in the top. I just lifted and the seam split. (Fortunately I was still over the counter!). This morning I grabbed the same box, pulled out a bag and as I was opening the bag, it split down a side seam. 2 bags out 7 that I have used have been unusable. And they advertise "extra strength"? Nope. They are "extra weak"!Don't buy these! It's a waste of money and causes a great mess.

Tear open half the time
I've gone through a few boxes of these. Not just because I was collecting a fair amount of kitchen scraps and such, but because half the time when I take the bag out of the bin, I find it's torn and left a smelly brown puddle underneath. I have to try to get it out without spilling everything, and then get it into a second bag. I know the point of compostable bags is that they're supposed to be able to break down, but these break way too easily. Next time I need to stock up, I'm going to look for sturdier bags.

WAAAY better than the starter bags that came with our municipal bin (no sweat!)
We finally have municipal food waste collection (hooray) and got nice sidewalk and kitchen collection bins to get started. We also got a roll of liner bags for the kitchen bin, which helps keep things from getting too gross. BUT, the liner bags that came with the starter kit sweat a lot--they weren't exactly leaking, but the outside of the bag/inside of the bin was consistently moist. But these bags solved the problem! AND have a bit of a tighter fit so the bag doesn't slide down. So a win, win.

Good product, poor package
The bags are good enough, although the dimensions are a bit odd. They could stand to be a little taller than they are wide. My beef with these however, is the packaging. The bags are folded into each other in a box and removing one at a time is nearly impossible so you have to take a clump of bags (which then unfold trying to pull one out) and try to get one open without the others falling to the floor. This is something that the compostable bag manufacturers seem to have in common. I have tried others to no avail. Why can't they package them like regular trash bags? Just a simple roll design.

Terrible value
It's my fault...I thought I was getting 100 bags...not 20. Almost $0.18/per bag. It's too bad that Amazon doesn't even make a feeble effort to curate the products offered on their site to ensure that they meet minimal standards. Lesson learned.
