Good idea but the bamboo brakes if you have to move it often for weeding, planting or in strong winds. I bought metal plant supports of the same size and replaced the bamboo.

Very pleased with this. I bought it to keep cats off my small vegetable plot and it has worked perfectly. My only reservation is that some of the canes are a little brittle, one snapped when I was moving it to access the plot for autumn clearing. However I see that I can slide new, stronger canes into the slots. The fabric has done well considering that I tucked the bottom of it into the soil in an attempt to reduce the number of slugs reaching young plant. After doing that I noticed a reduction in slug damage. All said, these have done the job I wanted them to do very well.

Product was very easy to put up and it will fold away flat when not in use. My only criticism is the rather vile shade of yellowy green, which is somewhat unpleasant to view from the house. However I am sure it will do a fine job of keeping carrot root fly at bay

Brought this item but I won't know if it reduces carrot fly & other pests until after this years crop.

not quite as big as I imagined but the two make a reasonable frame for carrots and as of yet no root fly so doing their job. Mind you as carrots are so cheap it is only as I love growing my own that I can justify the purchase. As for longevity we will see so far seem robust but next year after the winter will be more of an indicator.

The Haxnicks pest and wind barrier is a god send. Its exactly what it is advertised as. Anyone who grows carrots, parsnips or celeriac should buy some of these. Brilliant. Apart from completely covering your roots with a mesh, which may keep the carrot fly at bay providing it is not disturbed, as soon as you lift it to harvest some of your crops the flies get in - what a waste of time. No, the only useful item I have found for such a troublesome pest is this Haxnicks pest and wind barrier - I'm surprised no one thought of it before - fantastic and I would unhesitatingly recommend it to any vegetable gardner. Thank you.
