Tropico 3: Absolute Power

Absolute Power is a must have expansion to Tropico 3. It changes Tropico 3 considerably, despite what others tell you. Tropico 3 with Absolute power is extremely well planned and executed. It is perhaps, the best game ever coded. It is beautiful to behold and challenging to play. Tropico 3 and Absolute Power is the cream of the crop! It is extremely well done and it will give you hours of play.Don't let the high system requirements of Tropico 3 frighten you off. The sys reqs stated, are for those who want the best graphics and only the best graphics. You don't need that. You only need a game that runs well and plays well, and the system requirements are far overstated. I am running this game on the following rig:AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (2.4 Ghz) This is a single core processor.A mainboard with only 1 Mhz Front Side Bus.An Nvidia 8600 GS graphics card with 512 GB of memory.4 GB of RAM.Windows XP service pack 3.The game runs fine! I don't have the highest graphics settings, and you don't need the highest graphics settings! The game looks good with low graphics settings! My rig doesn't meet the bare minimum and Tropico 3 runs fine and dang near flawlessly! Absoluter Power polishes the game and makes it play better. It fixes code, and even changes code so that the game plays better than it does without the expansion. You also get new islands, another radio DJ added to the mix (Betty Boom is the voice of opposition). You get more edicts (some of which are dangerous traps, so choose wisely).BUY THIS COMBO! Get Tropico 3 with the expansion pack, or get Tropico 3: Gold Edition that includes the expansion pack. You spend approximately $20 for one of the best computer games ever made, and believe me, I've played many! I've never seen a game that is so polished! This one is a real masterpiece of planning and execution. The extra graphics setting are unnecessary.Yes, Tropico 4 has already been released. WAIT! It costs 4 times what Tropico 3 and the expansion costs. WAIT! Tropico 4 will eventually come down in price. WAIT! Until it does, play Tropico 3 with Absolute Power. You'll like this! It is a jewel in a sea of rhinestones and it's approximately $20 for both Tropico and the expansion!If you don't already have Tropico 3 and the expansion, buy this:  Tropico 3: Gold Edition If you already have Tropico 3, buy Absolute Power! You'll be amazed at how much this game was improved! T3 with Absolute Power is the most polished game I've ever seen. This one is as good as it gets!

Having been a fan of Tropico 3, I was thirsty for more and had to try this out. But it didn't change the gameplay much. If you are a hardcore fan of Tropico, you have to try this out anyway.I'm looking forward to Tropico 4; hope I won't be disappointed.- Jay

I use this on my old XP HP laptop. It is a fun game. I would recommend to those who want to learn a strategy game with a tropical theme.

If you like Tropico then buy this expansion.It's doesn't change that much of the game but having the new statues and buildings makes it worth the money.Don't forget Tropico 4 is coming in 2011.

This is a very fun game! I have had hours of enjoyment from playing it. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one even more.

FYI - this version of the expansion pack with NOT work with the Steam version of the game. I love Tropico, and I am excited to try the new expansion, but I guess it will have to be purchased through Steam.

This game is a total rip-off. The only resemblance to the original Tropico is the name. Don't waste your money.
