Expired or No date. Great flavor but not as labeled. Oats dry. High calorie but not very nutritious
We tried 2 kinds — 2 separate orders of lemon-poppyseed bites, and four of the 3-ounce Original bars, with two of the big bars in each of two orders, all in April-May of 2025. One box of lemon-poppyseed Bites were expired before shipped, so we chatted with amazon customer service and they refunded. The second box was dry like the Original Bars, and it helped us learn that we are allergic to poppyseeds. The big Original Bars were soft and chewy, and VERY filling, but lots of problems. The oats themselves were a mixture of dry rolled oats and very, hard, very dry steel cut oats that got stuck and packed between teeth. Not much chaff or skins, though. Seemed like they were coated with the glycerin, and the insides mixed with sugary grain syrups, which made the dryness seem moist even though it was all just coatings and glue on hard-packed dry oats. Flavor was great but not what was labeled — seemed like the Originals got switched with their Maples, because our Originals tasted like eggy french toast. But that was tasty. They might have been tilted on the assembly line before they hardened, because they were thinner one one side, but this made them easier to bite since they are very thick for smaller mouths. We were surprised by two important things. First, each packet holds TWO servings, and the packets are not resealable, and with them being so sticky, we felt like we had to eat the whole thing at once, no way to reclose it. And that meant that the nutrition labels seem much lighter than they are. This isnt a snack when you think about. Each bar could replace a small meal in calories, but not in real nutrition, theyre just sugars and oats. The second important thing is that there was no expiration date on the packets, not even with a magnifying glass, and no box either. We discovered that after finishing them, so we are hoping for no food poisoning. Always check! Overall, we wish — That they made them more nutritious, with date paste instead of grain syrups. Made them gentler on teeth, with finely chopped, all-rolled oats. Made smaller, sensible portions with nutrition labels that match what people would actually eat. And take better care with packaging — matching flavors to labels, making sure expiration dates are on labels, etc.

Unexpectedly good but pricey
These are shaped like a Little Bites muffin but bigger. These are dense oatmeal snacks that and will leave you with a surprising full feeling considering that it is only a 2-bite snack. I like the subdued lemon flavor but I found their glossy muffin tops interesting. I thought it would be grainier but it is moist and chewy. I only wish they weren’t so expensive for the amount you get.
