Assembly:As many others have stated, this desk is a beast to put together. You *can* do it yourself with about a six pack of beer and at least 4 hours of free time. There were around 200 pages in the manual, but the pictures are decently detailed, and everything was labeled nicely. The hardest part is finding the room to lay out the pieces ahead of time!Quality:Though it is particle board with a laminate finish, it's pretty heavy and very sturdy. The only downfall about the laminate finish is that you should never leave a cold drink on the desk without a coaster, as it could mar it.Aesthetics / Size:It's a nice dark color, and it fits nicely in the corner of a room. I'm a decently large guy (6'3") and fit comfortably at the desk without my knees bumping into anything, which is one of the main reasons I bought this desk.Overall, I give it 5 stars, because even if it's a pain to put together and you need to watch out for moisture on the laminate surface, it's definitely a great looking desk and made to last.

Aside from the horrible packaging and late prime shipping arrival which I reviewed separately, this fell short of my expectations. I love the design and it has plenty of room, but there were tons of cosmetic flaws, even after having a piece completely replaced and then having to contact Bush a second time for two missing parts. Directions are clear, butvitvwill take some time to put together. My biggest disappointment is the fact that the top scratches so easily. I bought this for full time work at home and I slide big binders around and have two cats that like to jump up on it. I would pass on this one. However, the Bush Customer Service Reps (2 that I spoke to) were awesome. Just make sure you call as emails are not acknowledged.

I purchased this desk mid-2017 and loved it the moment it was assembled (tough as that was). It changed my mind on the quality of DIY furniture. But the rich, dark stain that looks so good in my home office is still a laminate over particleboard. I have to be careful when setting down the laptop so as not to chip the laminate. All cups must be on a coaster to avoid sweat stains. And the worst part is that the laminate is peeling off on the curved, edge moulding where the seam occurs with top surface due to my arms resting on the edge when using the desk. I would still recommend this piece of furniture, however I would caution that without the utmost care during daily use, that lovely grain finish might not last until retirement.

I am really happy that I finally decided to purchase this desk. I did not want to spend a ton of money on one that needed to be assembled and end up being disappointed with the quality of the product. This was not the case at all. Yes, it does take time to put together BUT the directions were easy to understand and it was not hard to do. I love the color and size and the picture represents the desk quite well. The only thing that I don't like is that the desk is designed to have the leg, opposite of the drawers, face front. This did not work well with the set-up of my room; however, I was able to fix this by putting the piece of wood behind the drawers, facing the opposite direction from the instructions. Overall, for the price, I do not see how anyone would be disappointed.

I love the desk. It took a few hours to put together and I think it was missing a screw, but all-together, it is amazing. I was worried about the quality because it has a laminate finish, but it looks like real wood. It seems very solid and sturdy. Some of the pieces are also sort of heavy, so even though I put it all together by myself, you may want to get someone to lend you a hand.Also, the color is darker and warmer than it appears in the photo. It looks a lot nicer in person. I was afraid that I would not like the color because it seemed too light and sort of ashy in the photo. I'm glad I bought it despite the color, because the color is rich in person.

Very nice! We weren't expecting the desk to be so nice. The drawers are a bit difficult to get right so make sure that you secure the tracks before you move on otherwise the drawers are a bit wobbly (user error). Fits great with one side up against the wall and one side open to the room. A little awkward to move around so just make sure you build it close to where you want to actually put it. Great purchase. Highly recommend.

I would think Amazon would do a better job of tracking part numbers. The desk I received looked nothing like the pictures at time of order...and returning an item of this size....is just too much trouble. The drawers on the file side don't sit properly and the rails are junk. I'm not sure why there are so many positive reviews. Perhaps it has something to do with price point, but if you're looking for quality, I would look elsewhere.

Size and type we needed for a particular office that had a round table in it also. Standard size l-desk wouldn't have fit. Looks nice. Would be better if the one back piece that is unfinished was finished so we'd have another option for placement. The way it is, it has to go against a wall.

We bought this desk as a Christmas gift for our son who lives on his own and needed a desk for his computers. He found it very sturdy and has a filing cabinet for his important papers. It’s just the right size for his limited amount of space he has.
