Horrible Silicone Taste
I wanted to be able to write a positive review for this product, but I simply can't.Once water has been sitting in the bottle for 30 minutes or longer, the water has a *strong* silicone taste. This makes the water bottle worse than useless for its intended purpose, as even a sip of the water is, unfortunately, quite disgusting.Because the design and construction quality of the water bottle are actually quite good, I've spent an inordinate amount of time attempting to remove said silicone taste, with zero success. Here are the things I've tried. -Hot water wash, soak, and rinse. -Cold water wash, soak, and rinse. -Vinegar soak. -Baking soda soak. -Lime juice soak. -Milk soak.If the water bottle didn't leech this taste, I'd almost certainly give it 5 stars. But as it stands, it was a waste of money and time. Even though this water bottle has a high overall rating (which is the reason I purchased it in the first place), I can only speak to my own experiences; I strongly recommend avoiding this water bottle. If anyone has any tips for removing such a taste, please feel free to comment on this review!*EDIT*The seller has reached out and offered to send a replacement bottle. Once I receive the replacement, I'll update the review to reflect my experience with the new bottle.*EDIT 2*The seller immediately issued a refund and a replacement bottle, as promised.Unfortunately, the replacement bottle develops the same taste as the original. I made sure to closely follow the instructions for initial usage that came with the bottle -- they said to use some dish soap and fill the bottle with boiling water, then let it sit for two hours. I did this three times over the course of about a week. The offending taste takes longer to develop in my replacement bottle than it did in the original, but still renders water undrinkable.I did bump up my review from 1 / 5 to 2 / 5, because the seller really did more than I could reasonably have expected. So while they do stand behind their product (which is something I truly value), I really can't give the product itself a positive or neutral review, as it still fails to fulfill its primary purpose. As a sanity check, I asked a friend to taste the water from the new bottle (after it sat for a while, and after all three boiling-water treatments); she also felt that the taste was very strong and very unpleasant.

Ideal for backpackers
So I will start by saying I was hesitant on whether to purchase this product. I own a Hydroflask - several in fact. I love said Hydroflask(s). However, I am an avid hiker/camper/backpacker. At times I admittedly opt for the low key car camping variety adventure but my real passions are sparked when I venture off into the unknown and have to subsist off of the land minus the minimal supplies I can carry in a rucksack. This is where the collapsible water bottle presented an intriguing option.Yes it is a good-sized bottle. Yes it keeps the water (or whatever liquid you prefer) relatively cool. Yes it is light weight and easily collapsible. No this is not a substitute for a well-insulated type bottle such as a Hydroflask. But that is not what this is designed for. If you want a light weight, space saving, moderately insulated bottle than this more than does the trick. It has uses for a variety of purposes but for the hikers and backpackers among us it is especially useful. In fact, I am considering purchasing another one for the simple reason that refills on hikes are not always an option but saving space and going light on weight should be.

Great Water Bottle!
This is a great water bottle! There is no strange taste, as I had read about some other collapsible bottles. I like the mouthpiece better than those found on a number of other water bottles I have had. It is sturdy enough to stand upright just fine, so I can put it on my desk and it is stable. It is also easy to fold up when it is empty, to make it more convenient for carrying. I am very happy with it.

Great water bottle to take with you on the go
Great water bottle to take with you on the go. I got to a point when my hand bags and purses became way too big, so I had to downsize but couldn't find a water bottle that easily fit into my new bag. This water bottle is a perfect fit and it easily goes with me no matter the situation. Its a huge help being able to stuff it into the compartment of my bag. Sometimes I don't even roll it up, I just fold it in half after I have finished all of the water in it, and I then have much more room for other items.

Great product, good price, and easy to use!
So far, so good. We've not used it to drink water from yet, got it for a trip to Israel. Hope to soon, but not had occasion to. It came quickly, and Monument offered a handy short video to show how to roll it up. I saw in some reviews when purchasing that this was difficult. Not so. In fact, it is very easy, and appears to be a very high quality product at a very reasonable price. This is a follow up to my earlier review. I like this product! Was very handy on our trip. Pretty much carried water in it every day on a 13 day trip. Absolutely no complaints. No bad taste. And something I had never thought of... was very handy to take with me on my carryon. With TSA not allowing water bottles through security... I discovered they do allow empty ones. I would flatten this out, put it in my satchel. Security would ask if I had any fluids... No. And then when in the departure terminal, I found several airports with water fountains designed to fill bottles. And voila! I had water. And I didn't have to mortgage my first-born to get it. Handy. Great product. Great Price. 6 stars! Oops... I mean 5 :-)

Great Travel Bottle
I fly a lot and I prefer to bring my own water bottle and fill it at the airport. I wanted something that doesn't take up a lot of room in my bag, is easy to fill and easy to clean. This fits the bill. The bottle is really well designed and sturdy. I like that it has a wide opening (makes refilling the bottle at airport water fountains easy). I like the flip cap that prevents spills and leaks; and I like the hard plastic sliding ring around the middle, which makes it easier to hold onto. It feels like whoever designed this put a lot of thought into it. The one problem I've had is that the strap can easily come off of the little tab it hooks onto when it's rolled up. It would be nice if there was a way to secure it in place. It would also be nice if it had a hook on the strap so I can hang it from things when it's filled.
