Podravka Vegeta Soup and Seasoning Mix, 250 g

This is my secret ingredient to most of my soups, especially cabbage barley or mushroom.I first tried this many years ago after picking up some in a Polish market. These days it's on a lot of grocery shelves, but not in the area where I live, so it's nice to see it on Amazon.If you are vegetarian, you get that wonderful richness of a chicken broth without any chicken.It does contain MSG, but used in small amounts I have no problem with it. My mother used MSG in the form of the brand name 'Accent' to enhance the flavor of many of her dishes and it still does the same today. It adds a little something that just can't be duplicated.There are little bits of dried vegetables as well as spices.I have the canister tin and I like to use this pouch to refill it, making this pretty economical.If you absolutely can't handle MSG, they make a version without it.I hope this review has helped you to make a decision about whether or not you'd like to try this seasoning powder, or the one without MSG. Great seasoning for use in soups, stews or on salmon, chicken many other.Enhances tast.It isn't "spicy" or hot.

I am from Croatia and I remember this as a child. It makes the best soup! I will not use anything else!

This product adds a unique flavoring that is quite interesting. It isn't the sort of thing I would want every day, but it adds a special reminder of some of the foods from Eastern Europe. The biggest problem I have with it is the huge amount of salt in it.

My second order. I use this seasoning on everything. Love the flavor. It takes bland food to the next level. If you are looking for hot spice this is not for you. I love adding it to my scrambled eggs.

Granted, you can get these in the market (at least in a big city like I do) for a little less but I wanted them without going to shop. Isn’t that the reason you use amazon? Once opened, I put it all in a Ball Jar and labeled it.I put it in everything from soup, goulash and meatloaf for a little something extra. Makes everything taste just that much better!
