Q: how do you install it. how to remove the old one. similar

Hello, I removed my old one by removing the 3 front screws and pulling it out, pretty simple. My old one did have caulking so I had to remove most of the caulking with a razor blade and a screwdriver before being able to insert the new unit. But I’d say it took me about 10 minutes , these things work great.

Q: What does "recalibration available" mean?

In the middle of pointer, there is a slot, when hold the pointer, using a flat end screw driver, we can adjust the pointer slightly, so if there is slight tolerance, we can re-calibrate it from the pointer.

I like this thermometer for my walk in freezer

The thermometer I put in my walk-in freezer a couple years ago stopped reading correctly so I purchased this one. It works well and the price was very reasonable. Recommend!

Hard to calibrate.

It was very hard to calibrate. The thermometer didn't have any printed instruction on how to calibrate it. I watched some youtube videos and tried. But trying to turn the adjustment screw with a flat screwdriver only bent the shaft and didn't produce any adjustment. Then I straightened up the shaft and rotated the needle counter clockwise (since it was showing the temperature 6 degrees higher than it was) and eventually got it close enough.
